Bart Erhman is adding things to the historical Bible with his own personal opinion of what he thinks could have or might have happened based on expanding what is written in the Bible and trying to imagine what it was like back then. He lacks that historical understanding that enemies of Christ tried hard to erased anything about Jesus and this include flooding the public with many false manuscripts and stories but worse is misinterpreting and misquoting the Bible. The only positive thing here is we see Bart do recognize the historicity and reality of Jesus Christ and the Bible even though he just like many early and modern heretics they use the Bible to twist it to create their own stories.

These so called "historians" have absolutely no evidence to support their assertions. The foolishness in this thinking is a lack of understanding of the culture in the first century. The Jewish leadership wanted to put an end to the Christian faith, problem was they even were aware of his miraculous power Christ has, and they could never disprove the resurrection. If they could have disproved the resurrection Christianity would have failed. The mere fact that it survived until Constantine came alone is a miracle in itself. All anyone needs to do is study Roman history to see what they did to the early Christians and it is amazing that they kept their faith. So why did Rome get involved, they viewed Christians as trouble makers, just as they did the Zealots, so they became the Jewish hatchet men, just like the Knights of Templar did for the Catholic Church during the dark ages. I have had many debates with professors that don't like what I teach, but they can't show a shred of evidence to dispute it, only weak assertions and a lack of wanting to investigate without presuppositions.

Did you know that a million man Ethiopian army marched all the way by foot to Israel for a big battle? They didn't get lost like Moses did. Maybe they stole Jesus' corpse?
