Grave robbing was one of the theories presented when they could not locate Jesus body but that theory became unrealistic because of what happened with the Apostles, after the resurrection they all become unafraid, they defy the Jewish elites to preach the words of Jesus Christ, they all gave up their comfort and safety they travelled all over the known Roman empire and unknown world guided only by the Holy spirit they were able to communicate with people that speak different languages, different cultures they all become well informed and educated. Without the resurrection there will be no Christianity.

In spreading a new religion usually especially in the ancient times it was accompany with political and imperial zeal to wanting to conquered but in Christ and his early church Christianity it was all about God’s Kingdom.

That is why one day when we finally learn and uncover the mystery of the Black Hole we will also learn more about God and His Kingdom.

There are many theories and what you have presented is just one of it the problem is there exist no records other than the Bible as to what really happened and that was Jesus Christ body was taken down from the cross thanks to Nicodemus and was timely buried in the tomb, guarded by Roman soldiers.

Modern science can explain this now; Jesus was in a state of clinically dead, the timely intervention of Nicodemus resulted in Jesus reviving after three days. Nicodemus must have applied some medication that would allow Jesus to come out of his clinically dead state.

    Jesus trial was conducted closed doors that violated every traditional Jewish laws at that time the purpose was to quickly have Jesus tried, sentence and executed before his followers could come to his aid or come to defend him not in combat but judicially. Yes I agree with your statement and basically that was what the Bible said about the trial;

“you have the teachings of a Jewish preacher condemning the Religious heirarchy for their distortion of the Tanakh teaching. For that he died on a cross. Killed by those he opposed and a violent and cruel man who really didn't care what happened, as long as it kept the peace”.

Christianity came about only because of the resurrection and the continued refusal of the Jewish elites to accept Jesus Christ.
Without the resurrection there will be no Christianity.

I don't consider Grant Jeffrey a credible scholar. Where is this alleged Dead Sea Scroll referring to Jesus? It seems to be nothing but rumor.

No he didn't. Most scholars accept that Josephus's mention of Jesus is either a total forgery or a marginal comment by a scribe that was copied into the text at a later date.

They are not credible within scientific community.

Thats like calling phds who also believe in mysticism, Druidism, scientology, etc credible.

A belief in magical sky daddy is no exception

They are not credible. There is no scientific or any factual backing to their belief.

They are not regarded with any prestige or esteem within the scientific community

Long before the Neccea council, there was no issue or problem who Jesus Christ is or was all the apostles agree who Jesus Christ is the first generation of Christians have no problem it would be after the end of the first generation that we see a rise of other Christians giving different view and one of the most prominent is Arius The council of Niccea was called in order to preserve the integrity and truth about Jesus Christ amidst all these new claims and as pointed out 250 out of 318 agreed that is more than 50% we can say this was a successful democratic process in ancient times sadly the minority and few critics or dissenters refused to accept the democratic process.

Most of Mohammed’s Islamic concept has lots of elements of Arianism not surprisingly since most of the Christian heretics including the Nestorians sought refuge and settle in the desert land in Arabia were the Roman empire have little or no interest to control.

Josephus the Roman historian didn't exist because the letter "J" wasn't written in documents until the early 17th Century. Josephus the Roman historian is a fake, along with all of the J words before the 17th Century. That's why Jesus is also a fake. You might as well call the charater "Big Bubba" for all it's worth. Whenever anyone says "Jesus" in reference to the biblical character they are using an imaginary name for an imaginary character. It's like looking at what's supposed to be an ancient Greek manuscript and realizing that it's written in modern Greek instead of in one of the ancient regional Greek alphabets.

I don't blame God. There is no God(biblical God). I knew what it was like to be a cult member of the Christian religion. I finally was confronted with the truth and stopped excusing the contradictions and absurdities of Jewish fables. Looking from the outside, it is easy to see the ridiculousness of the bible.

Well, that's not quite true. Josephus mentions Jesus twice. One incident is generally regarded as a forgery, likely based on a passing mention that Christian scribes later chose to exaggerate, but the other is generally excepted as genuine.

Science has never proved jesus is real in fact quite the opposite.

Much scientific and undermines or in some cases disproves much of the new testament.

The so called ossuary is not proven to be jesus own or his family's or even remotely so.

That claim is spin that only a small minority cling to when it has failed the peer review process.

the dead sea scrolls prove nothing. That is like claiming one comic book proves that another is true.

A mysterious medicine that revived someone clinically dead after three days. Surely you can do better than that.

That assumes that the story of the resurrection is true. Objective science also examines evidence such as the scripture claim that the tomb was not watched over by the followers of Christ for the entire three days thus making it plausible that the body was moved by the Romans, or perhaps the entire event was made up by the author, or perhaps the people of the time fell victim to confirmation bias and groupthink.

And is a passage merely stating what Christians believe. It doesn't in any way confirm those beliefs as true.

A person named Jesus likely did exist, in the same way as Mohammad existed; he was a founder of a new religion. In terms of the resurrection, body checking was quite uncommon, and he could easily have been knocked unconscious from blood loss, buried, and then 'raised', without any magic whatsoever. If you look closely, almost everything in the bible has a scientific explanation, no god required; Jesus could have walked on spring ice, placebos would function quite well for healing, the ten plagues could have easily been caused by a localized warming period, etc.

And Jesus could have multiplied fishes and loaves, and God could have turned people into pillars of salt, showing that He really does work in strange and mysterious ways, and so on?

(Btw, Bobby Bobby, are you any relation to Ricky Bobby of Talladega Nights fame? Funny movie.)

The Dead Sea Scroll is no rumor not only does it proof the existence of the Essene it also established the existence of Jesus Christ and the events that transpired during that time. the Dead Sea Scroll written by people of Jesus time the same as the Apostles who wrote and kept records of Jesus Christ in the Bible.

This is why it most hardcore unbelievers will never accept anything and this was proven to be true when the Pharisees had Jesus put to death because they just could not and refused to accept the truth.

Science and modern medicine is real but as usual there will be people that will still believe other wise.

The Roman soldiers being complicated is another theory, at the same time the question will be why?
If the entire event was made up then the people involved are really very good to be smarter than the Roman empire, smarter than the Jewish elites and at what end do they expect to be rewarded or gain?

You have it quite wrong unbelievers would accept reasonable, objective, and scientific evidence but you have none of that.

ROMAN SOLDIERS WERE NOT INVOLVED. The guards were Temple Guards - Jews. As far as the Romans were concerned Jesus the Rabbi was gone - dead - buried. Of no more concern to the. Romans.
ROMAN SOLDIERS WERE NOT INVOLVED IN THE ARREST OF JESUS. The 'soldiers' were Temple guards.
ROME is not involved until Jesus is brought to Pilate. Even then his 'crime' was not against Rome. Not until the Pharisees see their only chance of conviction is to involve Rome with false accusations of what Jesus thed Rabbi said.

    When will you ever learn.

Facts have shown us radical none believers will never accept anything even if facts are crystal clear that was why the early Pharisees and Sadducee had Jesus put to death, Jesus Christ a clear present evidence of God and they had him crucified for appearing to them to show God is truly real.

We have radical deniers of the Holocaust or the denial of the effectiveness of vaccination no amount of objective or scientific actual proof will ever make them change their minds.

The fact is the Romans got involved after he was accused of rebellion and sedition against Rome.
After Christ was crucified his body was allowed to be taken down and be buried.
The Jewish elites concern that Jesus followers might do something with Christ body requested Pilate to post guards at Jesus tomb.
Why would the Pharisees wanted Jesus body guarded if they are sure Jesus is dead? Did they have suspicion that Jesus prophecy of resurrection might happen with the involvement of his followers?
After Christ body went missing in spite of the guards that was the start of the resurrection that would ushered in Christianity without Christ missing body or the resurrection there will be no Christianity.

The only person to mention the guards is Matthew. Pilate tells the Jews to take guards and seal the tomb the best they can. Jews had no authority over Roman soldiers and Pilate would not use his own men over a religious Jewish matter. The Jews their own guards and their own seals.

I wish you would study the relationship between the Jews and the Romans. The Jews had freedom in religion than other nations did because the Romans respected their fervour for their beliefs. They were even given relief from Caesar worship, from using Roman coins in daily life, and no Caesar images on shields in their cities. 2 or 3 times Roman Governors did things that upset the Jews, and the relevant Caesar allowed their appeal, and overruled the Roman Governor.

And no, they didn't suspect Jesus would rise from the dead. It tells you why they wanted the guard.

And there are several ways the body could have gone missing.

    Jewish guards could be bribed.
His parents could have taken it to a family grave.
Joseph may have moved the body from his own family tomb to another, before the body started to decay and could not be moved.
The disciples could have moved the body.

Frankly I suspect that Matthews story is simply that. A story. No guard. No request to Pilate for a guard. The body was simply removed as above. After all the rest of the trial makes little sense. And Barabbas was another part of the story and never actually existed. It was never a practice anywhere in the Roman Empire. If a Barabbas had been a convicted murderer he would not be in jail, he would have been executed.
