Right wing extremists loved him but changed their tune and called him song bird and traitor for not pushing for more enough. Interesting turn of events.

Need to pick his replacement ASAP; someone who will hopefully have a running chance of winning his seat for Republicans, election time comes.

Arizona would do McCain a true honor by electing a patriot who wants unification between both parties rather than another right wing Republican who is hellbent on creating more war.

Ah yes... just the other day Algore was convincingly asking Trump to resign...

Not gonna happen - McCain replacement will be Arizona senator, voting for SCOTUS nominee, and supporting party line.

Of course. Obamacare has not yet been repealed. Thank you, Obama.

Of COURSE, my "rates" have "gone up", even after President Trump was elected! And yours have not...? Health insurance premiums will be announced for the coming year (2019) shortly, and every indication is that they will continue to increase. Why?

Haven't you been paying attention? Trump was unsuccessful in getting rid of Obamacare, largely thanks to radical Democrats and their pet RINO's, like St. John McCain . We on the Right were only successful in removing the unconstitutional 'mandates', and until we can get totally rid of the whole corrupt, fraudulent thing, Obamacare will continue to cause everything in the medical sector to go on increasing in price to all of us who are NOT on welfare or "subsidies" (which is just another word for welfare....)

That's almost as funny as when you pretended to be outraged when you found some conservatives liking a post finding similarities between Hitler and Obama only to have your own posts equating Trump to Hitler exposed.

And how could it be an honor to put in another neocon to replace a neocon? Can you explain that?

And who would this "patriot who wants unification between both parties" be? Another roll-over RINO like John McCain?

McCain was many things, and he changed his political behavior often, but I can't remember the last time he was described as a "right wing Republican" by anyone who was even remotely serious!

What Arizona needs now is a REAL Republican to go to Congress, vote to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, and then let him perform the duties of a Supreme Court Justice, with his decisions based on the CONSTITUTION of the United States, as written and amended. Period.

"Hellbent on creating more war"...? Republicans? Go back a hundred years and take a good, close look at which political party got this country embroiled in nearly ALL the wars, beginning with World War ONE! It was the DEMOCRATS! :omg:

I agree, we need a public option, Conservatives said we could trust insurance companies, I say we can't

Trump's ACA "reforms" have caused more medically impoverished people to use Go Fund Me. While Republicans favored bringing on their death panels to kill off the impoverished, McCain fought against repeal of ACA. That's to his eternal credit.

The "medically impoverished" can get Medicaid, or simply go barging into any hospital in the United States and demand to be treated for free. Nothing new there. "Death panels"...? Just more hyperliberal, hysterical Democrat nonsense.

The worst thing about Obamacare is that it deliberately interfered and, in many cases, wrecked the healthcare insurance plans for WORKING people. Plus, these WORKING TAXPAYERS are being forced to pay for those who won't/don't pay for their own medical needs through higher prices -- higher prices that those who get on one kind of welfare program or who get "subsidies" don't have to pay because they get it handed to them for free. The whole thing was never anything but lies and fraud, and McCain was complicit is actually RESCUING a monstrous thing like that -- and very proud of it!

What we need is a 'single-payer' system where all the participants PAY, out of their pockets, to be members. No welfare. No 'subsidies' (just another word for welfare). No tie-in's to other handout welfare programs. No bullshit. With that kind of single-payer system all costs would be reduced dramatically, because its members would have the clout of being the largest customer-base in the world! The entire corporate medical sector, including big pharma, would have to BID for our business! And anybody who didn't want to pay to be a part of the system could go on getting Medicaid, or barging into hospital ER's for free.... If McCain was so wonderous and fair-minded, why did something as logical as THAT never occur to him...? Because all RINO's are terrified of doing anything that infringes on the "free stuff" forked over to that half of the population that has gotten quite comfortable by living off of the government....

[IMG]. And John McCain rushed to save Obamacare, mostly because he hated Trump so much....

not every state has Medicaid and hospitals do not operate for free

While McCain did well to stifle Trump's effort to end ACA, he should have worked to give us legislation that would have given us the type of HCR that was promised in the DNC in August 2008.

Wrong. ALL states in the United States have participated in the Medicaid system since 1982. Did you really not know that...? Google it! McCain knew all of this -- but he really hated Trump's guts and would do anything to try to harm him, whether he really gave a damn about Obamacare or not....

But, yes, you are correct in saying hospitals "do not operate for free"... the TAXPAYERS ultimately get stuck with these costs for people who demand to be treated in hospitals but do not or will not pay their own bills. It's a tortured process involving a lot of bookkeeping sleight-of-hand, but when you mash all the bullshit out of it, nobody gets turned away from a hospital ER room. They DO get treated for free if they say they can't pay! Besides, if they were refused treatment, the ACLU would come swooping in on them with flurries of lawsuits....

Wrong. That shows your complete lack of understanding of the American political field.

    RINO's always loved him.

"progressives" tolerated him because he sometimes agreed with them, progs only loved him after he betrayed his constituents and his promises and voted against the repeal of obamacare.

Conservatives have not liked McCain since his ridiculous run for President. When obama and McCain pushed to go to war in Syria (remember obama's stupid "red lines"?), the backlash from conservatives was so strong McCain had to tone it down and eventually just shut up.

Use your brain, open your eyes, don't be so blind.

Wait a second - both John Kerry and Joe Biden said they were lifelong friends with him. The funeral was filled with attendants who were libs. And where was Trump?

Can't you read? Of course the funeral was attended by a lot of progs, the progs love McCain since he saved obamacare.

Also, following on the great "progressive" tradition of using people for political purposes, they will promote McCain because they can use McCain to tweak Trump.

John Kerry and Joe Biden may have been friends with McCain - but not lifelong friends as they did not know McCain until well after the Vietnam war, probably not until McCain was in congress. So they exaggerate (they lie).

In fact, John Kerry was such a traitor in Vietnam that I have no doubt McCain was not his friend until long after the war.

    You should think before posting.

Actually, we were talking about John McCain and the fact that he was the chief RINO who rose up to save Obamacare, spitting in the faces of all true Conservatives throughout this country. You began talking about hospitals not providing indigent care, etc., and I supplied needed correction.

BTW, nobody is ever going to make Medicaid or some form of 'Obamacare' as big as Democrats want it. Democrats will never be happy until they get free medical care which mashes EVERYBODY, taxpayers, old people, young people, parasites, slackers, moochers, and the truly deserving and disabled into one great big, miserable pile of unhappy people waiting endlessly for a 'new reality', deteriorated quality of medical care. That's what Socialism and its Socialized Medicine DOES! May I just provide you with one more word for thought? VENEZUELA!

correction - it is mostly southern Republican states that failed to extend Medicaid which means more deaths for the poor

McCain did well to prevent Trump from bringing on more Republican death panels

    "traitor"

Phooey. Kerry and McCain were heroes unlike the right wing Republican chickenhawks. Neither of those heroes deserve the insults so many right wingers on this forum are directing at them.
