That's addressing the actual subject not pretending to address the subject to attack someone else as liberals are doing at these funerals.

Benedict Arnold is an example of how someone can be both a war hero and a traitor. A more recent example is John McCain who has played a key role in trying to overthrow an elected US President via the use of a fake dossier.

It is amusing to see liberals now deify McCain because of his hatred for Trump whereas when McCain was running for President they blasted the man at every opportunity and even made negative comments about McCain's military service.

Of the two men you mention the better man is clearly the one that got elected President.

How can anyone ever consider Trump a better man than most anyone that has not ripped off fellow Americans. What a low bar Trump fans set for calling such a POS like him a man.

Obamacare still exists, thanks largely to John McCain. Is a story in a liberal rag like Newsweek good enough for you? Link: https://www.newsweek.com/obamacare-gone-trump-boasts-he-has-ended-affordable-care-act-754347

Or, how about this story from even-more-liberal NBC: https://www.nbcnews.com/health/obamacare/mccain-hated-obamacare-he-also-saved-it-n904106

Nice job, John... "Mission Accomplished".... :democrat:

Invasion of Iraq? John McCain sure thought it was a fine idea. You don't see the media mentioning that too much, however...that's odd, huh?

I'm in the process of planning my funeral.

I have a list of who can't attend my funeral. Barack Obama. crooked Hillary and Jerry Brown are on the top of the list who will not be allowed to attend my funeral.

Haven't even got around who my pallbearers will be or who will deliver the eulogies.

I want Air Force One to fly my corpse from the Left Coast to Washington DC so I can be buried at Arlington Cemetery.

I want a dozen M-1 Abram tanks in my funeral procession.

Instead of having my corpse lying in state in the Capital Rotunda why not at the White House Oval Office ?

Have to have a 21 gun salute and also a military missing man flyover formation but instead of FA-18's why not B-52's ?

    Or...why not just a Viking funeral ?
Put my corpse on the teak deck of one of the four Iowa class battleships, tow it three miles off the coast and set the ship on fire and let it sink ?

McCain had his faults as does everyone else. His "bomb Iran" commentary was certainly out of order, as an example. Still his words did not create wars unlike the lies of traitor Bush.

George Bush would have the support cut out from under him for war with Iraq without the aid of neo con degenerates like John McCain,
who not so long ago was in Syria meeting with "rebels" there (ISIS terrorists) still trying to drum up support for yet more war.

How you can condemn Bush and give McCain a pass is incredible to me.

Dude, we should never have been in Iraq in the first place. Why do you think Iraq was worth the death of over 4400 Americans and well over a Trillion dollars of taxpayer money? What did we gain?

Anyone who argues a compelling reason to deal with Iraq did not include oil is kidding themselves.

So I agree, Oil was a big deal. But to use that as the only reason, while ignoring the bigger picture of terrorism, WMD's, and terrors growing influence and potential impact on global economic stability is to remain just as uninformed and myopic as those who argue it wasn't about oil.

In hind sight, we certainly should have approached the region differently. Expecting a backwards culture, operating from ancient rules of government long ago abandoned by advanced peoples, to leap into even the 20th century, left a cluster **** that remains today.

Oh, here's an Obamacare enthusiast! Tell us, how have YOU spent that $2,500 you saved every year as a result of Obamacare? You must have been thrilled that your insurance premiums went down, your deductibles and co-pays decreased, and that your treatment was better, too!

Did you get to keep YOUR doctor? Did you get to keep YOUR health insurance plan? Is the cost of your prescriptions lower? Then, GOOD FOR YOU!

[IMG]. "...and, best of all, just think of how much saving it will piss Trump off!"

One of the great things about McCain was that he realized early on that those with opposing views are not enemies, but fellow Americans who disagree with him. He might have learned this from the man whose seat he won, Barry Goldwater. Goldwater was a fierce proponent of conservative views and his best friend in the Senate for years was Hubert H. Humphrey an avowed liberal. McCain realized that in order to get things accomplished, sometimes, in fact in most cases, compromise is the way to go. Ronald Reagan and Thomas P. (Tip) O'Neill demonstrated the same type of wisdom. I have always liked and respected Senator McCain and voted for him in the GOP California primary against Bush in 2000. John McCain was a great American and he showed it from his early youth up until the last days. He will be greatly missed. RIP

It's a great Labor Day. perhaps the best ever....John McCain is in the ground and can therefore never betray his constituents or party again, and Hillary isn't (and will never be) president.

    enjoy!

Thanks for agreeing oil was a factor. Sorry you don't see that it was the only logical military reason to invade. Everything else could have been handled with airstrikes with an occasional QRF attack.

No hindsight about it. Like Hillary spreading classified material out on her unclassified private and hackable server, they should have known better because that was exactly what Colin Powell and the JCS kept telling them....not to mention major members of Congress like John McCain.

OK, very tightly focused on John McCain now, about all that's left to say after they've paraded him around all over the place, run him up and down the streets of Phoenix, flown him out to be in the Capitol building, laid him under the rotunda, then driven him down for a big extravaganza at the National Cathedral, and finally, moved him down to Annapolis, they've buried him. GOODBYE, already, John....

I enjoy every day no matter who is in the ground and who is President. And like Megan McCain said: "America Has Always Been Great"...

It is amazing how many people pretend to be Republicans that hate Trump but love McCain and Obama and think they are fooling anyone.

We Conservatives have to deal with a PLAGUE of RINO's. Too bad the Democrats don't have to be similarly plagued with 'DINO's" (Democrats-in-name-only). We had McCain... but who would the 'DINO's' be -- if there even were any...?

Aside from that -- boy, if RINO's and Democrats threw a series of day-after-day-after day spectacles like THAT for McCain, can you even begin to imagine what kind of hoopla they're going to throw when Hillary croaks?! :roflol:

Sorry, America was great in the 1950/60, and declined since then. I lived the whole time and saw it personally.

McCain's foreign policy was usually "bomb them", his first response was the military.

He was one of the most vocal in encouraging the Iraq war, he was Congressional spokesman for Bush on the issue.

He was also a big proponent for invading Syria, which the USA fortunately did not do. He even secretly went to Syria and met with muslim terrorists thinking the USA could ally with them.

He wanted to go to war with Iran and North Korea.

McCain had faults, but some faults are far worse than others.

Interesting how the far left extremists rail about war and then embrace the biggest warmonger in DC.
