It's going to hurt, alright. It's especially painful because it's self-inflicted.

Then it shouldn't be worth his feelings to keep breaking the law. Funny how your side can't see that. And funny how your side was fine with Trump's oceans of frivolous lawsuits.

I addressed this in greater detail in this post, mindful that I'm a layman, but the following is my understanding of the law.

    Thank you!
Taking a snip from your post.
The info. gets better and better,

"While the $83.3 million award could potentially be reduced upon appeal, the extent of any reduction is uncertain.
If Trump opts to appeal the judgment, he may be required to post a bond, typically set at 111% of the judgment amount, to cover the damages awarded. In this scenario, the bond would be around $92.4 million, based on the $83.3 million judgment. Failing to post this bond might lead the court to enforce the judgment through other legal means (writ of execution)."

I was amused by Alina Habba's unprofessional behavior during and after the trial. Did she get her law degree from a box of "Cap'n Crunch"?

An easy way to collect the judgment would be from the supersedeas bond in the event of a foolish Trump appeal.

Damn shame it wasn't on TV like the Johnny Depp trial.

Would have been excellent for the shear entertainment value.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/e-jean-carroll-judge-bench-slaps-trump-attorney-alina-habba-2024-1

<3. Elaine's restaurant, where it's still hard to get a seat

Habba, a workaday New Jersey attorney until meeting Trump a few years ago at his private golf club in Bedminster, then launched into an attack on Carroll's star-studded Manhattan social life in the 1980s.

"Elaine's is a very popular restaurant, isn't it," Habba asked Carroll of the celebrity-packed Upper East Side bar where she'd been a regular. "It's not only popular, it's incredibly hard to get into, correct?" Habba asked.

"Ms. Habba," the judge interrupted. "It hasn't existed for years, if I'm not mistaken." Elaine's closed in 2011.

"Correct," Habba answered. "We're talking about the 1990s and '80s."

But the judge reminded Habba she'd been speaking about Elaine's in the present tense, including by asking about it being hard to get into.

"That may be on account of it being closed," the judge deadpanned.>

    Yep.
Trump loses the appeal and Carroll gets the bond money.
It will be reported if/when Trump transfers the 92.4 MILLION.

    Prove her wrong
NY created a law out of thin air with a one year window just for this.... Carroll destroyed evidence, She tried the fake Monica dress trick with a dress not even manufactured yet, She repeated "rape" 61 time in the initial court document, when no rape occurred.. no witnesses, She had no idea what year it even happened.... no evidence presented... the list goes on...

And Trump was not allowed to bring one word of those facts into the court room...

    It is being appealed....

Here’s an important thing you ignore: Trump NEVER DENIED that the incident took place. Not once.

    Have you studied the transcript?

    I doubt it.

She proved her case to the satisfaction of a jury, which is discussed in more detail, here:
    https://law.temple.edu/aer/2023/05/15/evidence-advocacy-and-carroll-v-trump

Punitive damages has nothing to do with 'injury', it is designed to make him stop defaming her.

So, how do we stop a billionaire? A few million won't do the trick, he can hardly feel it. We must up the ante until it stings. It was judged that $83.3 million should do the trick. If not, I'm sure they will go higher until the fool is crushed or incarcerated (via violating an injunction) so that he can no; longer defame her again.

Forcing someone against a wall a jamming your fingers in their privates isn’t rape to you?

    1. He had less money to take
    2. After being found liable, he didn’t run out and murder them again

I seem to remember you people singing from a different song sheet regarding Tara Reade.

    https://www.npr.org/2020/04/29/8478...merges-around-biden-sexual-assault-allegation

"I do remember her telling me that Joe Biden had put her up against a wall and had put his hands up her skirt and had put his fingers inside her," LaCasse said. Reade, as detailed in a previous NPR report, has accused Biden of pinning her against a wall in the hallway of a Capitol Hill building and penetrating her vagina with his fingers in the spring of 1993.

Not for a criminal conviction of murder, that's for sure. Did you not follow the case at all?
