I notice that what those on the Left appear to be doing is to redefine words.

To take concepts, which most everyone just accepted as common sense and never questioned, and then stretch the meaning of those concepts in novel highly questionable ways.

First the courts in the state of New York started allowing women to get money for sexual assaults, which was an unusual and novel concept at the time. (a total redefinition of the concept of "damages") Then the state politicians decided to actually codify it into law. And not only that but they threw out the statute of limitations that had long existed.

Then the courts have a decided that only a woman's allegations is sufficient grounds for her to be awarded lots of money, even when no other solid evidence is present.

And then they decided to define "defamation" as accusing a woman of lying.

Note the blatant double standard. The accuser doesn't have to prove she is telling the truth to win the lawsuit and get money, but Trump is expected to have to prove that she is lying, otherwise he will have to pay her money.

 

Bloody Hell....God has a great deal to answer for!!!

I think many underestimate just how unethical and lacking in principles many progressives are. Especially in an area like New York City.

Yes, I will concede Trump may be a little bit "slimy". But that is only representative of the entire New York City area that he came from.
It extends into New Jersey as well, that "culture".

I don't mean to level this accusation against every last single person who is Left-leaning, nor against all supporters of the Democratic Party. (Nor will I claim absolutely none of this exists on the Republican side whatsoever) I am just saying many underestimate how prevalent and widespread it is on the progressive side.

I can guarantee you if you took 12 Republican men from Midwestern Nebraska and put them on a jury to decide if a Democratic Party Presidential candidate should have to pay money to a woman who alleges rape, the verdict would not go the way it did in this case.

 

Just when you think you've seen it all, something like this has to happen. Woman accuses man of raping her 28 years ago with no evidence at all. Jury finds that it was he, not her who did the defaming. The fact that they did this once was awful. But then they had to give her another much bigger bite at the apple. It's just so disgusting that we have judges and juries who are so devoid of character that they would debase themselves so. This guy and Judge Nudie should both be thrown out on their sorry asses.

Carrol was and is getting death threats, because of Trump's words. My money is on Trump supporters wouldn't be happy about that situation either and would be doing a lot more to stop Trump or anyone else of acting that way towards them.
