    Jurors reached a verdict Friday after around three hours of deliberation in writer E. Jean Carroll’s trial against former President Donald Trump, from whom she sought millions of dollars in damages for defamation.

    The jury awarded Carroll a whopping $83.3 million, The Associated Press reported. That breaks down to $7.3 million in emotional damages, $11 million in reputation-related damages and $65 million in punitive damages

    Trump and Habba didn't cover themselves in glory here.

    The majority of the damages was to punish him, and to deter him from continuing to lie about her. Ouch.

    Really, for calling someone a whack job and fraud? How many people accused
    Trump of being a Russian asset and a puppet of Putin's, are they deserving of defamation lawsuits?

    The original rape story was incredibly hard to believe, and that's an understatement, and now this. Trump will never get a fair trial as long as it's held in lib land.

    When somebody is defaming you and they have a megaphone -- one of the largest on earth, and they are bragging they are a billionaire with four hundred million in the bank, the damages are going to be much greater. The appeal might cut it in half but it might not. Look at what Dominion got and what the Sandy Hook parents got. Is trump got off light.

    Strange to see what the conservatives worship.

    A perverse, immoral, bankrupt, adulterous, twice impeached, crybaby of a man that inherited his wealth and enriched himself at the expense of everyone around him who is calling for a recession and states to rise up against the federal government.

    Being called a fraud and a whack job is hardly defamation. Now what NBC did to George Zimmerman is definitely defamation, and his case got thrown out because the judge said he was a public figure.

    Jurors.. too stupid to get out of jury duty... and usually with a vendetta against anyone that makes more money than they do.. which is everyone. Trump can't get a fair trial.

    Easy Peasy. If you want equivalency all you have to do is go to a department store where Clinton is. Have her shove her fingers up your privates. Sue her and have the jury find her guilty of sexual assault. Then after being found guilty she comes out and constantly defames you. Oh and it wouldn't hurt for her to say you are not her type and then mistake you for Bill. Also get a reporter to get her to say when you are a ex secretary of state you can just go around and grab them by there $#@!.
