The Israelites are in a book written by the Israelites.......now what a surprise.

I'd be gobsmacked if a Scot wrote a book about Scotland and didn't mention the Scots.

How do you know the Palestinians aren't mentioned, by the way.......just because they are not called Palestinians?

How do you know they are not the decendants of Israelites/Samaritans etc......Jews who didn't run away with their tails between their legs?

How do you know they are not the descendants of the Philistines, the Canaanites and other tribes in the area, who have intermarried. After all, you seem quite prepared to believe that white Caucasians of European descent are Jews because they say so......and they appear to have no requirement to prove conclusively their provenance back to biblical times......which would be nigh impossible given the numbers of converts who had never had any connection at all to Palestine before their conversion.

Do you know just how stupid and pointless this use of the Bible to prove anything AT ALL is?........because the only ones you are going to convinced are those already convinced.

It's a stupid book of fairytales and thus totally irrelevant.

Cheers for that-I'm really dumb with these computer things. Stuff was either clockwork or steam-powered when I was growing up.

Who cares about the religious books, when we talk about history?

Let's look what historians write in their books about Palestine.

As we see, Herodotus mentions Egyptians, Colchians, Ethiopians, Phoenicians, the 'Syrians of Palestine', and "the Syrians who dwell about the rivers Thermodon and Parthenius, but he does not mention any Jews.

Egyptians do not mention any Jews, either.

    Why?

Because there were no Jews then, nobody talked about Jews in the ancient world!

The "Jewish people" were invented later, after the Jewish religion was invented, and this religion was invented by religious nutters who never lived in Palestine.

So explain why the Jewish religion is more popular than Zeus.

    yes, it is.

neonazis are right wing, and tend to express the same xenophobic opposition to multiculturalism, immigration and Muslims expressed by the conservative posters on this forum.

Many support Israel - not for any love of Jewish people - just because there is a new group to hate now - the Muslims.

Yes, this seems to explain it. Many on the far right extreme seem to have found that they are more able to attack, hate and condemn Semites when they are waving the Israeli flag while doing so. Israel thus seems to attract the needs and interests of many modern Nazis.

That's not hard to be more popular than Zeus. So explain why Islam and Christianity is more popular than Judaism, if Jews are the "Chosen people"?

I'd have thought that, given you can convert....that it would be the world religion if it was so important and believable...after all who doesn't want to be special and "chosen".

As it is Jews only make up about 2% of the world's population with about 75% of them divided between Israel and the US. (so no surprise as to why the US thinks, like Israeli Zionists, that they are entitled to everything)

Furthermore.it does appear to be second to last in the religions practised in the world......propped up by "others" who may very well include Zeus worshippers.

Heck.....there are 4 times as many, at least, who have no religion at all. Does that not say anything as to the merits of judaism.

It's actually Revelation..but why quibble about an extra s. :mrgreen.

I have had a quick look through it......and can't see any reference to "Jews" or the names of Jews who had not already become Christians..or hands, come to that, bar lots of stars, lamp stands scrolls. (Flaming big hands!) But I am quite sure you can provide me with chapter and verse. My Bible is sitting by my computer in anticipation of your reply.

I think the whole Revelation thing is a load of :fart: crap little different to the earlier pre-history parts of the Old Testament.....but I have the Book..and you appear to have the knowledge......so hit me with it, and I'll check it out.

"Chosen" to live in Israel. Not a very popular goal for most people.

Choosing to live in Israel is a very bad decision. Life in Texas is much safer with far fewer worries and more wealth. One doesn't even have to believe that Texas is better, because it's a proven fact.

    Drifting off topic again....

So France voted yea, which according to moon is an indictment of the Zionists, yet Sarkozy just today stated his country's support of the state of Israel,as an independent, sovereign state. So I guess that he's still supporting 'zionism'...even tho we've been told Frances yes vote means the Jews have lost another pillar of support in their effort to maintain the Israeli state.

    Guess its back to 15.

It is unique that you are suddenly claiming that rockets from Gaza are totally harmless! That kind of contradicts the typical propaganda Israelis attempt to shower gullible Americans with. :) Now, you are trying to tell us that it is safer to live with Hamas than to live in Texas!!! Please explain this concept to American republicans, while reminding them that Iran is less of a threat to Israelis than Mexican civilians are to Texans! Yet, be aware that this might cause some gullible Texans to seek "safety" in Israel with the belief that Iran will protect them! Since Iran is not a threat, as you admit, shouldn't Israel be focusing on saving Americans from the great Mexican threat?

Suddenly? Not sure Ive ever really touted the overly destructive nature of the missiles from Gaza. The main issue is those who run Gaza proclaimations that one day Israel will be annhilated.Hamas has got limited resources thanks to the IDF and the blockade. Whats troubling is that IF Hamas attained something more destructive theyd use it in a second. Enter Hamas' sugar daddy Iran.

Im sure folks in Texas are jealous Israel has managed to build a strong safe barrier to prevent unwanted incursions. Theres been plenty of efforts made in Texas to get just that kind of security. For right now, Mexicans put the Hamas terrorists to shame militarily and financially. Are you kidding? Its not even close. Doesnt mean folks in Israel have nothing to worry about. I mean not knowing exactly when or where a missile might fall on you is quite a burden to carry..whether or not it actually ever hits you.

Mexican however wont ever attain nukes....you cannot say the same about Hamas, whod stated mission is the destruction of Israel. A good try, but not good enough.

I agree, after making such bigoted attempts at belittlement its time to proceed reading his material with intellectual caution, or maybe it would be best to trash can his material. Anytime I see anyone that is trying to be a professional blogger or writer for AP even that uses hated Semites [sic] or Israel and Apartheid interchangeable its an instant downgrade from professional credible writer to jerk with malicious agenda.

Yes, and that thought brings up another revelation. The remaining nations with common sense are instrumental to the Palestinians bid for statehood, and we are becoming entrenched in our support for beloved Israel and her rights. Palestine if it should exist at all should be located somewhere in Arab land, hey what about in Iran?

Snake is kinda of an expert at asking questions that harm his cause eh (above)? You are correct, the nations that are throwing with the fabricated people of Palestine from the fabricated nation of Palestine are of no, or of very little value to gaining statehood for the so called Palestine people. The Palestinian leaders are going to find that there is no substitute for following UN protocol when attempting to thieve land from a sovereign nation i.e. Israel. They are now using propaganda deception and are attempting to skip the negotiation process in hopes of using world opinion an UN pressure (ha ha) to leverage statehood. It ain't gonna happen for one BIG reason. The USA will and rightly so veto the bid. So to Palestine; resolve your differences with Israel by following protocol and negotiating your differences BEFORE you attempt to get your nation by debauchery or worse.

If Palestine does become a nation without negotiation I, as well as most experts predict war will become common, and eventually that war will become nuclear. And that nuclear war may very well be the last war.

    You mean Israel?...

To you it would be worth the millions of dead to rid the world of Israel.

Some crocodile tears I suppose would be in order....
