What these people do not grasp is that the virus could care less about your politics. If you think its nothing to worry about, then you take your chances. That is horrid leadership in NJ, no public plan to reopen at all. Leaders have plan, they may change but they have plans. "We don't know when.." is not a plan.

Trump left reopening up to the states, where it belongs. That is called leadership, allow other to make the call for themselves where it makes sense.

Herd immunity is simply another name for the Survival of the Fittest'. The best way to do that is remove all restrictions. Your young and vulnerable children may die. All measures should be taken to prevent the spread of this. The economies of the whole world are going to be affected - not just the US economy. Your answer to the economic issues is what? It can’t be to acknowledge we have issues as you have done twice now. That’s not a response, that a statement. Opening up the economy is a response. And yes medical staff are at risk, just like multiple professions are at all times. By your logical we should not send police officers into situations they could be injured or die in. Or firefighters or military personnel etc..
