Comeys lawyer has advised against it. The same law professor / attorney that served as Comeys media conduit is now representing him. I wonder why Comey hired a lawyer ... isn't Comey a lawyer?

Nunes' & staff CREATED this memo, the GOP on the House Intel committee voted that they should not review the underlying documentation but just to accept memo and run with the Nunes' CREATED memo. The logic is severely lacking here ;).

Release unfiltered classified information, just to satisfy your curiosity. Right.

There is no greater national security threat than the possibility of a foreign agent(Trump) in power, and/or violations of the use of intelligence resources. There's no longer such a thing as 'classified information'. All of it has to be released to the Public. And if there are national security issues arising, we can plug those holes as we go along.

-The congress has the oversight responsibility over the DOJ, not the other way around

-The DOJ had been stonewalling the committee's requests for month, now they suddenly wanna play ball

-The memo is the committee's investigation of the DOJ, as a party under investigation the DOJ doesn't get to decide when they see the goods.

-The release of a classified document is a process taking a few weeks and reviewed by multiple qualified professionals who make sure that no sensitive information is leaked. The DOJ worries about their own behinds only, nothing else.

I can't figure out if you are ignorant, naiive or blinded by your partisan position.
Of course there still needs to be such a thing as classified information.

Nunes memo, comprised of FBI docs, and subsequent investigations thereof, isn't what we were discussing. Comeys memos 'oft subject to "revisions" ... remember?

My bad ... didn't realize you were spinning on 2 threads. disregard Comeys memos ... the 1st assertion stands.

No - it is not a committee memo. It was written by Nunes and his staff. Not the committee.

Yawn, splitting hairs much? The committee will vote on the memo before it can be released, thus taking full ownership of it.

Why are you people so worried?

Not all classified information is relevant to National Security.

An admission of trying to purvey propaganda is still an admission. Nunes get this in spades.

It's 2018, they have already been investigated by a GOP congress for years. This is tRUmp's moment in the barrel.

Well they're getting investigated again, Trump when campaigning didn't want to touch the Hag at the end. Then your side came up with this BS investigation so it's time for some payback.

The DOJ seems to be taking the memo seriously. What personal, and baseless opinions might Nunes have voiced that are too sensitive for release? Wild allegations aren't exactly a rare commodity, nor are they classified. What's Schiff affraid of? Why has Comey just hired a lawyer?

I'm still confused by who wrote the memo... If we agree that Nunes didn't (shouldn't have) seen the information, how can 'his staff' have participated in writing the memo?... Isn't it more likely that it was Gowdy and his staff who wrote the memo (since he was authorized), and it's just Nunes' job to sell it? I know this is mega hair-splitting, but it's important... If it was Nunes and/or HIS staff that wrote it, there might be a claim of improper use of classified information...

Try again Tommy. (We’re saving the Russian help to keep the Dems from winning any seats in the 2018 elections)

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/source-twitter-pins-releasethememo-on-republicans-not-russia
But a knowledgeable source says that Twitter’s internal analysis has thus far found that authentic American accounts, and not Russian imposters or automated bots, are driving #ReleaseTheMemo. There are no preliminary indications that the Twitter activity either driving the hashtag or engaging with it is either predominantly Russian.

Maybe Nunes should just get a head cold and release it like Pelosi did.

I see that even foxnews.com has backed off this ridiculous conspiracy. It is no longer a headline on their web site Still, Russian Bots are encouraging it and the members of the GOP who have not decided to retire are carrying Trump's torch. The only ones with guts to speak out against the demoralizing attack on the FBI and the Justice Department are the GOP members that are not running again and can't be threatened by the "Bully in Chief." Once this conspiracy completely falls apart, I wonder what will be the next conspiracy?

Trump's statement that he is willing to testify under oath may have been the political blinder of the century. Can you imagine Trump testifying about any topic without dropping numerous lies. Mueller probably dropped his jaw when the idiot dropped that promise.

While Trump can certainly back out of that promise, Mueller has subpoena power to make him fulfill it. It appears, at the very least, Mueller has more than sufficient evidence to prove "Intentional" obstruction of justice. The issues of money laundering and violation of US election laws are still on the table. Mueller is going after the low hanging fruit first, Obstruction of Justice. The Mouth in Chief has made that case an easy one.

Soon, the GOP will need to decide. Do we continue to defend a president who has committed a federal crime or sit him aside, as in Nixon, and put Pence in the Oval Office? If they chose ti stay and fight for Trump, their party will lose in numbers unimaginable. You read it here first.
