    It's not a cakewalk, but Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's Supreme Courtconfirmation hearings are a far cry from the Kavanaugh treatment.

    Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans – still seething over how Democrats treated Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his 2018 hearings – kicked off Jackson's confirmation assuring her that she wouldn't be subject to "that disgraceful behavior," as Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said.

    Since then, Jackson has faced tough and substantive questions on the law and judicial philosophy. But there have been no outbursts, interruptions or character attacks.


    "I think everybody's pretty much behaving themselves," Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said of the decorum at the high stakes Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for President Biden's nominee….

    These senators contrasting the differences between how Supreme Court Nominees are dealt with are right to point this out. The three Fox News reporters covering this get the Senators points and report them well. There is a clear double standard between how GOP nominees are treated by the democrats and Vice versa.

    On this matter like so many others, if the democrats in the senate didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.

    There is a huge decorum difference in Republican and Democrat. Republican present past examples whereas the DNC fabricates ridiculous skits to please their ever hungry for drama constituents..

    The GOP Senators just don't have any ammo against her. If they did, they would use it. Nobody is in the Senate to play nice.

    Why do you think that she does as you suggest, 'has a soft spot for pedos'? < I haven't seen any Senator or for that matter, any forum post that explains the why?

    IMO, it's more about the smear 'branding' partisan B/S? In this case, it lines up with the Trump party talking point of 'soft on crime' for the mid terms.
