Two lesbians who claimed to be victims of a hate crime last year when hateful messages were scrawled on their Colorado home are now being accused of perpetrating a hoax.
Aimee Whitchurch, 37, and Christel Conklin, 29, told authorities last October that vandals had spray-painted "Kill the Gay" on their garage door and left a noose on their doorstep.
The couple, who live in a rented condominium in Parker, Colo., said they believed the alleged incidents were in retaliation for disputes they were having with their Homeowner's Association over their dog.
The FBI reportedly became involved in the investigation. The two women were tested by federal agents to see whether they had spray-paint residue on their palms, Fox affiliate KDVR-reported. They were also asked to take a lie detector test, but declined, according to the station.

Authorities later determined that the women were responsible for the spray-painted words.
"Through the investigation and from witness statements, it was determined that allegations of the incident were false," said Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cocha Hedyen. "Detectives were able to determine that the two women involved were responsible for the words that were spray painted on the garage and the placement of the noose on their own front door."
Both women face two counts of criminal mischief and two counts of false reporting, according to the station.

LOL!! It is pretty amusing when these frauds are uncovered. Usually, it's the nooses left in college dorms.

I think they should do some jail time for this. Maybe, they will be scared straight.

Wow, I followed this case for a while there. Jeez. I feel duped. I felt really bad for them.

 

This is so common. And the funny thing is that they think no one else has thought to pull something like this. They're sooooo smart. And really, the end will justify the means...won't it? they think. It's good to know that people are recognizng the signs of this type of crime. And i agree, they do need some jail time or at the very least to have to wear fairy outfits as they clean up litter. <that last was a joke> not the litter part. The fairy get-ups. ha. haha. ha.

These things do happen, and it will get worse before it gets better. Relative deprivation in the traditionalist communities will fan flames of backlash. I just feel bad when people are trying to just live their life with some sort of joy and mean people feel the need to rob them of it.

 

It'a a little hard to follow the lib logic of those words.

But I think Zosiasmom is excusing the lesbians because normal society does not recognize their lesbian lifestyle.

I think the state should throw the book at these two and give even greater punishment than the alleged hate crime would have brought.

 

Filing a false report is a serious crime and can bring years in prison. Law doesn't like to have their time and resources wasted. Generally make examples of anyone who thinks it's no big deal.

 

When I first read about them I honestly thought it had more to do with their dogs pooping than them being gay after I read about their homeowners association rules, now...I don't know what to think.

Why? I don't get it. It was the two of them working together...how do you even suggest such a thing to your partner? Hey, honey let's get the world attention by pretending our neighbors are homophobic (*)(*)(*)(*)faces!

 

I doubt if bleeding heart libs will throw them in jail.

But they are worse than any stranger who might have painted insults on their door.

 

Howso worse? People who paint names on people's doors, walls, churches, etc are making a large statement about whole groups. These people insulted themselves, as well as, their neighbors. I find it unbelievably disappointing as it will have a ripple effect that is unfair to other gays and lesbians.

The only bleeding heart libs in law enforcement are judges. However, their politics only come into play in a case where the politics themselves are an issue. The politics of this situation are not an issue. Even a lib judge will throw the book at these two.

They might actually be better off with a conservative judge. For the simple fact local judges are elected. A conservative judge might be worried about looking too hard, while a lib judge has their track record to fall back on, and would be pissed at the damage done to liberalism by the two.

 

If the judge is a lib I don't think the punishment will be much.

Look at the reaction of the libs here to the idea that the lesbians deserve even more punishment than the people they were trying to falsely accuse.

That's typical of the left who react emotionally instead of logically.

 

Who said that? Saying something is sad, or speaking of impact is not making excuses. They can be sued in civil court and possibly criminal. I recognize this and don't think I am shying away from it.

 

There is no lesbian/straight, conservative/liberal battle to be waged here. There is simply 2 people who filed a false report. That is how the law will see it. "Feelings" have no room in court. Want to see a judge get pissed? Cry in his courtroom.

CAIR has orchestrated anti-Muslim hate crime hoaxes in the past as well, for the same reason. Victim-hood is serious business for minority groups. Guilt the mainstream society long enough and make enough of a stink, and they'll eventually capitulate.
