The military have done a lot of studies regarding trauma's effects on the brain. Their conclusion is that the brain is put into an infinite loop. Individuals suffering from trauma, according to these studies, are unable to disassociate themselves from the event. Therefore, the spent a great deal of research dollars into how to "cure" PTSD. There is this new technique called "Trauma Resolution Therapy" that evidence based medicine articles seem to substantiate its efficacy.

I'm speaking from personal experience. I was almost killed by a gang from LA's East side when I was a teen. One of the teens I was with was stabbed which severed and artery and punctured a lung. I have no issue nor hold a grudge against this group of people.

Way over your head , dear boy .
At what point do agendas become obsessions , and obsessions then take over real life ? At what point does something that looks like public concern actually reflect " PC Racism "?
And don't the very choices of specific obsessions often tell you all that you need to know about private prejudices ?
    Just musing

So are you doubting the OP's story? Do you have any comments on the story? Or are you just saying because the OP has started threads you didn't like, we should all ignore this story? You know what fallacies are right? Condemn the actions of the 2 in the OPs story. Otherwise, you are just as biased as you claim the OP to be.

When I was a police officer, I investigated quite a few false reports. Most were false reports of sexual assaults and a few were what were called "hate" crimes. They almost always had a payoff for the victim. Sometimes it was to coerce someone into doing what you wanted and sometimes it was just for sympathy or attention.

There\s an element of nuttiness in all of them so I really don't know if it would do any good to prosecute.

Raymundo, you need to deal with your obsession about race.

What about black hatred of whites because of the past? That's not senseless though, is it?

No. It's possible that people who have actual real experiences in the world can share them with others from a perspective that is valid. Gays have their slant: that sex with minors on drugs is forgivable...for just one example. They embrace that as a cultural value because they embrace a man who did that as their quintessential ambassador/representative.

We could say that their experience in the world, what "looks like" their "public concern" for gay teen suicides...say... may really be masking their concern that teens feeling compulsive homosexual urges from a past molestation event would catch on that something was wrong with them and then get help for it.

Less "fresh meat" that way if they're getting therapy instead of bending over at the waist on command. But oh, wait...that's right. Having been molested as a boy and feeling unwanted homosexual compulsions as a result is the one type of mental angst that is forbidden to be treated by the APA. They CANNOT seek or get treatment for that illness. All other forms of mental angst are open to therapy..except that one lone example. I wonder what the true cause of gay teen suicide is?

LOL. You can say "Mexicans". However, that is irrelevant. I bet you don't like gang members. Which would be the true comparison.

I think you got a little muddled , it is Mister Donald who is your correspondent in these matters .
I guess I am without any Race prejudice , as are a few others here .
But if you read Post 53 and understand what it says , unlike the author of Post 54 , then the serious point I am making might become clear .
As we say of muddy waters , it does not have to be Black to be filthy .

A lib judge, letting libs go, would threaten the judges credibility as a professional. In this situation, when you have back stabbed the politics of one type of judge, while boosting the politics of the other judge, you take the judge who will be in a better mood.

If judges in this country are such bleeding heart libs, why do you suppose that we have more people locked up in prison per capita than any other country in the world by far. More than the USSR had in the gulag era.....That said, throwing a coupla carpet munchers like this into a county jail in Colorado for a few months will be like a trip to Disneyland....They'll love it!

Good Lord . I detest Racists and Bigots .
And the paid contributors who work for White Supremacist filth who practise a new form of Racist garbage . They report the same type of thing day after day as though it represents the full truth . Never capable of examining full and complex reasons -- just promoting the Victim approach for hard done by White Supremacists .

What I'm saying is that the US criminal justice system is draconian...The numbers don't lie. Caging people behind bars should be the last resort and only used as a matter of public safety. Here it's a corrupt national pastime which supports the real criminals who run the prison industrial complex here in the US...

"No other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens." - Report by California Prison Focus

“Prison Industrial Complex” is a term that refers to private prison companies and businesses that supply goods and services to government prison agencies. What is interesting about this term and the concept of "prison labor" is how it's rise parallels the rapid expansion of the US inmate population.

The Prison Industrial Complex is big growth industry. While other sectors of our economy continue to struggle in this recession, the private prison industry is booming!

Is there a connection between this booming business and the record rise in incarceration in this country? Let's take a deeper look...

Did you know that for every 100,000 Americans, 743 of them reside behind bars? That is nearly 1 out 100 Americans! Today, the United States has the highest prison population in the world with more than 2 million people either incarcerated in prison or in jail awaiting trail. The United States has the highest documented incarceration rate in the world, surpassing China, North Korea and Russia. A study conducted by the Bureau of Justice in 2005 showed that a record 33-year continuous rise in the number of inmates in the United States despite falling crime rates.

To put this concept into perspective, consider the following:
•Consider that for every $1 we spend on higher education in this country, we spend $.60 on correctional facilities.
•Collectively, the States and Federal government spend about $74 billion a year on corrections, and nearly 800,000 people who work in the industry.
•The largest private prison conglomerate in the United States is Corrections Corporations of America(CCA) which controls more than 47% of all private prison and jail beds nationwide, produces a 13% to 15% return annually.
•Nearly ΒΌ of the world’s total number of prisoners being incarcerated behind bars are Americans.
•1 out of every 32 Americans is on probation, parole or in prison.
•A total 7,225,800 adults were under correctional supervision in 2009 (about 3.1% of US Adults).
•Of these, 4,933,667 adults were on probation or parole.
•According to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are over 2,266,800 adults incarcerated in US Federal and States prisons today.
•County jails accounts for another .7% of U.S. adults.
•There are more Americans under “correctional supervision” than were in Stalin's Gulags.
•Every day, at least 50,000 men—a full house at Yankee Stadium are in solitary confinement.
•86,927 juveniles were in detention as of 2007.
•Texas alone has sentenced more than 400 teenagers to life imprisonment.
•A black male is 7x more likely to be imprisoned than a white male.
•Prison rape is so endemic—more than 70,000 prisoners are raped each year.

The major myth associated with our Prison Industrial Complex is that the rise in incarceration rates reflects a commensurate rise in crime. The fact is that crime rates have fallen. One of the driving forces behind the sudden rise in prison populations is a result of the "three strikes laws." It is estimated over 500,000 Americans are in prison for drug-related, non-violent crimes. Another driver is the continued privatization of our prison system where these private companies are actually incented to keep their jails full. Case in point, CCA has an ultra-modern prison in Lawrenceville, Virginia, where five guards on dayshift and two at night watch over 750 prisoners. In these prisons, inmates may get their sentences reduced for "good behavior,"but for any infraction, they get 30 days added – which means more profits for CCA. According to a study of New Mexico prisons, it was found that CCA inmates lost "good behavior time" at a rate eight times higher than those in state-run prisons.

I have no idea why people do things like this. It makes us doubt those people who have really been victims of hate crimes.

What I have trouble with are the outward signs of the gay movement and their tactics. We have yet to see how widespread this lesbian couple's "crying wolf" is in the gay subculture. However, the young man I mentioned who was a dear family friend and a compulsive gay promiscous predator [we found out] and who died of AIDS after sleeping with 100s of young men and minors [the ages he was molested at], had a funny version of crying wolf. He would go out with young men on the pretense of getting high or drinking. He would proceed to wait until his heterosexual target was inebriated and then proposition them aggresively for sex. Inevitably he would get the tar beaten out of him and then go running to all and tell how mean people treated him for being gay. All while passive-aggressively murdering [see gay slang] 100s of young men with the HIV virus. This was back before they had the drugs to prolong life for it. If he was beaten up in the same manner today, his potential drug-rape victims would be tried for "hate crimes" and he would be lofted on the shoulders of gays and held out as a hero and a martyr.

The more widespread gay assault is in their support to promote Harvey Milk to children. I really can't think of a more insidious psychological crime against minors than to teach them to emulate a man who commited routine sex crimes against intoxicated minors. It would be like promoting a serial-rapist to women as "their civil rights champion". It's bad enough just at the onset; but when you point out the crimes against minors that Milk committed, gays in unison jump up to defend him and defend their promotion of him to children. It is as if they are wholly blind to any sanity or reason when it comes to this. When you start to compare Harvey Milk to a serial rapist promoted to women, they kind of get it. But then they go into blind defensive postures when defending the same type of crimes promoted to children [against whom they were committed] and lose the thread of the anaology in a fog of hysteria.

It's this that is the largest red flag so far of the gay movement. They become irate if you compare them to pedophiles; while simultaneously promoting a pedophile....to children...as the quintessential "gay hero" ambassador. Do the math.

What exactly do you mean by this?

I don't tolerate racist or anti-homosexual remarks because I don't buy into the fact that people are that different. Black people, gay people, Latino peoples...all want to find love, nurture something positive for themselves (and now buy tons of cheap consumer (*)(*)(*)(*) that they don't need...but that's another story). People are essentially the same. In fact, the biggest difference is found between men and women as our bodies produce different hormones at different levels.

People are empowered to focus upon the negative and to create false dichotomies.

Without even noticing that you were doing it...you just did it by implying that a "group" might have complex reasons for doing things. Groups never do anything. Individuals do.

Individuals make choices every single day. When there would be a shooting at our school the press would come and interview kids about the shooting. When a child of a poor welfare mother got a full ride college scholarship you couldn't pay a reporter to show up. Our poor urban community didn't all act the same. It was a black majority and they did not act like a cohesive hive. In other words, yes, there may be cultural aspects of a race, orientation, or community but the onus is on the individual to take what they can from this life and seize their own day.

It is unfortunate that bad things happen to good people, but as Buddhism teaches this life is an experience. We suffer to learn compassion, strength, and empathy.

The white supremacists that you speak of are a minority. Their ability to be vocal and get attention is for the same reason that the kids who murdered their fellow students got attention: outrage is an industry.

The two lesbians in this story happened to be lesbians. The false police report might have had more to do with keeping their pets than trying to create public sympathy for gay and lesbian issues. Life is infinitely more complex, as you said, than to create a false system of good and bad. Just as Stalin was a murderer he also did good things. Dr. King was a great man who had a weakness.

Those racists might also never act on their racism and may in fact do some good in their community. What is important is not words. Politicians have a lot of words that they never act on. Deeds count.

And to that end, the person who attempts to rape or rob from me...they could have been abused children and to me...it won't matter. Their complex issues are none of my concern. Their actions in regards to my being matter.

    Silhouette,

do you recognize that this is not necessarily a gay issue? These women were getting pressure to get rid of their dog because of his large, super-sized poo. They might have had animal control at their door in a fit of worry did something stupid.

I get what you are saying, but...why is this predilection for teens a male homosexual thing and not just male issue? Do you believe that heterosexual men aren't buying fake teen porn in droves? I would bet the Catholic school girl porn is right up there with rent-a-boy porn. Men have very different hormones and response to physical beauty. Gay men have two sets of male hormones. It makes sense that there would be more promiscuity, more outward sexual aggression.

When I would walk to school as I was younger older men would call out to me all the time. It was frightening and upsetting. Half my clients hit on me regardless of how inappropriate it is. Men are just eyesight hounds. Look at that male school teacher who left his wife and kids for his high school student. How is that different than Harvey Milk?

I understand that you have an experience which would cause this kind of flashback anxiety. I have a friend who had what he considered an older mentor hit on him and attempt to kiss him and grab his junk. He felt a sense of betrayal that someone he looked up to would use that position to an advantage and he felt that his own sexual preference was ignored and dismissed. I have a hard time with him convincing him that male homosexuals are like any other male, too. I have attempted to explain that much like himself, I've had the same experience with men. I had a college professor kiss me. I had a guy, supposedly my best friend, try to get into my pants, and I even had a supposedly gay roommate try to convince me that since we were bored we should have sex.

It's really just a guy thing, I think.

    Wrong.

These two lesbians used hate-crime sympathy-milking to forward an agenda: in this case it happened to be about a neighbor battle. In other cases it might serve a political movement under false pretenses. I talk alot about Harvey Milk's sordid lifestyle and will continue to do so until gays remove him from their list of heros. One of the things he did was lie about being kicked out of the military for being gay. No such thing happened and when called on it he waved his hands around in deflection saying "symbols symbols" and maintained that the lie served the purpose so it was a good lie.

When you start distorting the truth to milk-sympathy, you do a great disservice to mankind. We have lasting childhood stories of morality like "never cry wolf" for a good reason. Great damage can be done in distorting the truth. People rely on the truth to make informed decisions that can have a great impact over time. When you lie about a key issue such as "gay hate" in order to forward an agenda, you distort reality itself. Over time you may even distort the fabric of a civil society so much so that recovery may be difficult or impossible. [see the gradual making of Ancient Greece]

Another of my favorite childhood tales of "don't go there" is "The Emperor's New Clothes". That's where for PC-reasons an entire town agrees to a lie in order to not fall in bad favor with each other or the king. Two clever tailors/ripoff artists seed the lie and then nurture it until it grows into a weed of gigantic proportions...all until an innocent bystander speaks up and challenges the crowd to unveil the reality of the situation..

As to my experience vs the real world, I have yet to meet a gay person who isn't also a sexual extrovert who is "in your face" about their sexual behaviors. I'm sure they're out there but as the decades accumulate I have yet to meet one who doesn't in the first 10 minutes of knowing you start to sexually advertise. It is as annoying as a bimbo always walking around with a pushup bra and demanding constant attention. There is a mental issue afoot in people who do this. The gamut runs from there clear up to this lesbian couple and the gay "murderer" our family knew growing up...and the en masse gay defense of Harvey Milk..gay "hero"/minor-sex predator. You gently coerce people to "ignore all the red flags". The thing is, we are wading in a sea of them when it comes to the evidence "coming out" of where this gay movement is heading..

I agree we have far too many in jail for victimless crimes. However, they are still in jail for a crime. The only greater tragedy is to have someone in jail who committed no crime at all. This can happen from many ways, one of which is FILING A FALSE REPORT. Filing a false report isn't a victimless crime. The state is the victim. LE is behind the gun resource wise everywhere. The state is broke. I can't stand when someone is so bias. Obviously they shouldn't get 10 years. But I would give them at least 3 months in county. 3 months in county is scary enough to keep the average tax payer weary of ever filing one. And my position wouldn't change if it was conservatives pretending eco-terrorists sabotaged their plant.
