She did not even get 30% of the vote in her own state even with all the Democrats who voted for her.

Why do you even envision she could win the Presidency especially as a Republican?

Do you have access to privileged information?

How many Democrats voted for Cheney in Wyoming?

She has no chance of winning.

    That's not the goal.

I'm inclined to agree. I wouldn't have thought so even a few months ago, but I wasn't really paying attention to all the clues he had given then.

As an independent or 3rd party candidate she could play hell with tRaitor tRumps run for another term.

She did not even get 30% of the vote and that will all the Democrats who voted for her. She might cause them more problems that the Republicans.

Do you have access to the internet?

"There were some clues on Election Night that Democrats did as Cheney wished. For one thing, Democratic primary voting in the statewide House race dropped from 16,859 in the 2018 election to under 8,000 this year (the returns are not yet complete). For another, the only two counties Cheney carried against Trump-endorsed Republican Harriet Hageman (Teton and Albany) were the only two Wyoming counties carried by Joe Biden in 2020.

But now Politico has some more direct evidence of Democratic party-switching to benefit the vice-chairman and heroine of the House Select Committee on January 6:

From Jan. 1, 2022, to the Aug. 16 primary, there was a 20 percent drop in Democratic voters. Republican voters jumped 10 percent, according to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s office. …

The change in voters was even more apparent beginning in July after Cheney began asking for Democratic support. From July 1 to the primary, Democratic registration dropped from about 43,000 to 36,000 — a 15 percent decrease in just a little over a month.

Republicans picked up nearly 15,000 voters in that span, increasing to a record-breaking number of 215,000 people registered by the primary.

And in the two weeks between Aug. 1 and the primary, Democrats lost over 3,000 voters, going from 40,000 to 36,000 registered Democrats — the lowest it’s been in decades. Republican voters increased by almost 8,000 from Aug. 1-16."

She has no chance of winning a Republican primary or as an independent. She might have a chance to win a Dem primary in another state, a blue state.

Doubtful. But, 20 ~ 30% would snatch defeat from victory for tRaitor tRump.

She certainly couldn't advance in a Republican primary but as an independent ... of course she could.

She is not a Democrat, she is a pure conservative.

She voted 96% for Trump's policies.

But today, she's a pariah because she dared to criticize him.

This is the party you're a proud member of today...

She would get more support in a Dem run than a Rep one. She's pariah because of her votes and her kissing Pelosi's arse.

And I am not a member of the Republican party, have not been since 1974.

She might "advance" as an idependent, certainly further that as a Rep, but I see no chance of her winning an office anywhere. MSNBC probably has a seat waiting for her.

She lost by 37% and that was with Democrat votes. She's not snatching anything from anyone.

Dissent is not accepted in Trump's cult, let alone collaboration with political opponents, even when it is a fight to preserve democracy.

You defend Trump dozens of times a day on this forum, you voted for him and would vote for him again in 2024.

    Take responsibility for yourself.

She has as much chance with Rep's as any Dem would have had had they voted to impeach and remove Bill Clinton or had demanded Hillary be prosecuted for her crimes.

I defend the Constitution and the Law and you would vote for either Clinton if you could. And no I hope like hell he doesn't run and have said so repeatedly. Trying to label me as something refutes nothing but then when that is all you got left.

Defending the Constitution and Trump are incompatible.

Especially when you claim that Trump sincerely believes that the election was rigged.

    It's laughable.

The grand issue is that not everyone(or even mostly anyone) has this holy mission that embodies Liz Cheney's driving passion. This is what is driving politics these days! She's thinking of running, not because she'd make a great president(she literally abdicated on her position as a house rep for her crusade) but because she might make a dent in ONE nominee! It isn't even a guarantee that he's the nominee!

So what happens if De Santis wins the nomination, what's she going to do? Drop out? So she was never serious in the first place! Please, don't run as an independent or anything, people deserve REAL candidates on the ballot, not liars. Those candidates are every bit as capable of defeating the great evil if their hearts so desire.

Supporting the political persecution of him is not comparable with the Constitution and the law.

The word persecution doesn't apply to politicians, let alone Trump.

People who want power have to be tough enough to withstand criticism or investigations into them.

Trump is a wimp who has spent more time complaining on Twitter than governing.

To avoid being called a criminal surrounded by criminals - he who has had so many associates imprisoned - MAGAs like you have to come up with the most twisted conspiracy theories.

The good news is that the voters don't follow you in your whims anymore.

Sure it is. He's a common criminal that has spit on the rule of law and has totally dishonored his oath to The Constitution and America.

Oh yea all those crimes he committed yet you can't cite one but thank you for admitting this is an unconstitutional committee engaged in a criminal investigation. Another reason Republicans send her packing.

Wishful thinking. If she ran as a Republican they would call her racist and white supremacists. I remember when they said that about Romney and right now he's their hero.

I think they just want weak people in charge so they can beat them.
