Cheney is to Perot like Trump is a Christian(he's not.). There's not an independent in hell(that's a true independent that is, not just some paux faker calling themselves independent to avoid registering even though they've always voted for one party or the other.) that would look to Cheney as an answer for independents.

And what evidence do you have to know what the "independents" would do or think? Seems more like you're just stabbing in the dark to justify your bias.

 

This confirms that she's not serious. So she shouldn't run. I'll even quote Barack Obama: "I believe that being President is a serious job." I agree with him, and I think he still holds that sentiment. Nothing betrays voters more than a candidate who is not serious for the office that they're running. She wasn't serious for the people of Wyoming, so they gave her the boot in historic fashion.

And anyone else who also "runs" on this cheap ass premise as their ONLY and sole motivation to running should not be viewed as a potential President of the United States.

It's the same thing as the Rep in Michigan who once yelled out that her goal was to "impeach the MF'er". The way we get Congress back, is that these non serious fools that got into office are defeated in elections. If not in 2022, then in 2024 and onwards the process goes until we get a Congress that's serious.

 

So let's just take the two major independent factions(never mind the various smaller ones): The Libertarians and the Greens. Give me ONE good reason why either one would vote for the Cheney dynasty. They wouldn't, and that was before she basically roid rage quit. The only thing she'd accomplish by getting into the nomination process is to have a worse result than Kamala Harris.

The last straw for me was her Abe Lincoln comparison, there's only so much ego someone can take in vanity. And no, vanity in a concession speech isn't a 'concession'. But at least the narcissist won't serve in the next Congress.

To the notion Cheney could be a weapon of mass destruction. Yes. She will be but as a campaigner rather than candidate. Her PAC picked up one of the largest donors to the Republican Party. She’ll be campaigning against and siphoning funding away from her former House colleagues.
