I asked a question and you need to get butthurt about it apparently...

Nope, but I'm not dismissive of proven scientific facts either...

Nor am I dismissive of Christianity...

    Both have their place...

When I see evidence such as Human Chromosome 2, that is irrefutable proof that humans are linked to The Great Ape Family, that we evolved from an ape like creature that we once shared with the Chimpanzee. We were not formed from dust like the bible states.

I can only dismiss the bible as nonsense. As a logical thinker that craves evidence, that is my only choice. I simply cannot believe in something that goes against evidence.

But this is where I differ from the theist. I don’t dismiss **a** 'god' out of spite, I dismiss 'god' because there is no evidence. Never has been. If someone has irrefutable verifiable evidence of **a** 'god', I will be more than happy to listen.

I agree about the biological aspect of our being, etc...

We are, without a doubt, part of the animal kingdom, and linked to the ape family...

And you dismissing the idea of God because of a lack of evidence that you find sufficient is OK...

    No big deal there...

The only thing that irks me is atheists who go on the attack at Christians just because they don't believe in it...

    *shrug*

If christians would keep their beliefs to themselves, I wouldn't bother with them. That’s the problem thou. The bible states to spread the word of god. Christians seem to take that too literally.

Also, they are preventing come groups of people from receiving their rights. Prop 8 here in California (ban on gay marriage) was initiated by a group of christian lawyers (Alliance Defense Fund). What is worse is that they are head quartered in Arizona! What business is of theirs if gays get married in California? And by the way, there are 1400 rights that automatically come with marriage. Rights on both the state and federal levels.

There are many other issues that affect peoples lives that christians have too much of a say in. Abortion is another topic. Every try to debate a christian on this? There is not logic involved from their side.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the drift.

So really, atheists really have to go on the attack. Sometimes the best defense is an offense.

Yeah, to me, an "in-your-face" Christian is as bad as an "in-your-face" atheist...

Both seem to feel like everyone has to believe exactly what they do, or they're 100% wrong...

    And that's ridiculous...

Both sides have the right to share their beliefs, but, there's a line...
