No it isn't, if ANY part of that payment was to save his family embarrassment it wasn't a campaign finance violation. Should Clinton have been removed from office for his felony perjury? There's a reason most Americans think this witch hunt is politically motivated.
An indictment is just an allegation, not a conviction. The Russia indictments were for show, they are not coming back to face Mueller's show trial.
This is true, because you can't read English. Go back and read the statement issued BEFORE Cohen's testimony, then re-read the direct quote from Cohen's testimony on that topic. Too bad for the trumpettes, Dirty Donnie directed Cohen to lie to Congress.
The SC says otherwise and Cohen testified he was not told to lie to the Congress. If he took it upon himself over a matter that was not even a crime that's his problem.
And Cohen testified that Trump told him the lie about it to his wife which means he had other purposes. Cohen vindicated him.
Cohen said Trump never wanted or expected to win. Why would a guy who didn't want or expect to win "collude with Russia", or try to "affect an election" by paying Daniels?
that's a big nope. Cohen is going to jail after pleading guilty to a felony campaign finance violation in addition to lying to congress in DEFENDING trump. And that ain't the half of it. Your dear leader is a crook, a liar and a cheat. But by all means whine whataboutery. Scream witch hunt as pieces of the puzzle fall into place and it looks one helluva lot worse for your dear leader.
But that's all they did. There was no refuting the testimony so all they could do is continually comment that Cohen is a liar. But Trump has been confirmed a liar also by claiming he had no knowledge of a payment to the porn star. But dumdum wrote a check to Cohen reimbursing him. Not to mention the phone call with Trump discussing the payment.
Excellent point. Cohen’s testimony really hurt the Dems...it’s cystal clear this is nothing more then a political witch hunt....they gave up all hope of this being taken seriously at this point
Gee you mean you finally figured out that elections are determined by the independants. Congradulation on figuring out what everyone has known for years.
Cohen is claiming that Trump committed bank fraud, Trump has had years of people stating the same "opinions". He's a tax cheat, a fraud, a con man. You don't get that kind of reputation for no reason. The claim that Trump defrauded his charity organization by buying something for himself using charitable donations was backed up by the NY Southern District Attorneys office. The claim that Trump broke the law by paying hush money to the porn star was backed up by a check reimbursing Cohen. And I assume the claims of tax fraud and bank fraud will be backed up by authorities who have access to that information. That will probably be the NY DA.
I'm not sure why you are having so much trouble with this. They probably haven't covered it on FOX & Breitbart. So here we go. $130K is way over the limit for a campaign contribution. I think you know this. As an honest mistake that's not a big deal, but in this case it was with intent to defraud the voters. That is a felony. Intent is the key word here. So now we know if it was to benefit the campaign it was illegal. Cohen says it was. and David Pecker confirms this: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ttended-meeting-national-enquirer/2307069002/ This was then paid for as confirmed by Trumps CFO who also got immunity: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-...rg-given-immunity-prosecutors-testify-n903566 This may also drag Jr. into it, but one is enough. Did this help? Is there something you don't believe? Oh, I forgot. Cohen pled guilty to this and is going to jail for it. I think that makes him pretty credible.
It wasn't a campaign contribution and Cohen proved that during his testimony, I don't know why you are having trouble with that. AND it was his own money anyway which he can spend anyway he chooses even paying hush money. As far as Cohen they tried to charge him as if it was his money and a campaign contribution of HIS money but again it was Trump's money he should never have pled guilty to anything. Cohen testified that Trump did not want his wife to find out about it and told him to just lie to her about it. It was a PERSONAL matter and he is perfectly free like anyone else to pay for a NDA and that trumps, excuse the pun, any campaign finance violation. Same with the National Enquirer, he was paying a woman to avoid personal embarrassment and marriage difficulties just as he would were he not running for office.
Again, you claim to know more than the judge, the prosecutor and the defense attorneys regarding what is and is not a crime. Do you have a law degree from Trump U?
Did Cohen testify that Trump told him to lie to his wife because he didn't want her to know about the affair? Yes or no?
Trump is finished. He turns out to be a crime boss who committed crimes. I'm wondering how long the right is going to support a criminal.
