NY Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/30/h...n-catholic-campuses.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper Why is it that some people have to put their own need before those they took upon themselves to serve? Where would their self righteousness stop if they had the power?
Haha! What a joke. She was "raised Catholic"....lol. Ok, then she would have known their her Church does not support birth control and would therefore not be so shocked that her Catholic services don't hand it out. Having convictions and standards does not make one a zealot. Catholic institutions donot support birth control. Nobody is forced to go to a Catholic university or hospital. Here is my hope for the coming storm: Obama implements his hate on religion and TRIES to force Catholic institutions to hand out and cover birth control. In so doing, I hope every single solitary Catholic institution shuts its doors. You want to see 1st hand what medical shortage looks like in a "civilized" society....lol. People don't have a clue just how large the Catholic medical community is and how many people depend on it and their charity work. Obama can't win on this. And on top of that, it's time Congress reigned in the powers of these unelected bureaucrats like Sebalius. She is not part of the legislative branch and therefore should not be able to create any law whatsoever.
what's next with your faux outrage? Will you demand that Burger King serve hard liquor? This woman went to a place which does not support birth control pills. If she wanted a prescription then she would need to go somewhere where they do.
Right, because if someone can make decisions for themselves and does not swallow dogma hook, line ans sinker, is a joke. She did not go to the altar and requested birth control. That is true, but wanting to force them on everyone else does and puts them in the same category as suicide bombers, they too onlt want to implement God's will. Nice cop out. Is Fordham a Catholic institution? Maybe that would be a god thing. It would demonstrate the dedication of the faithful to their fellow man. And that entitles them to put their needs before that of patients?
Um, if she was raised Catholic, then she knows her Church doesn't support birth control. If she doesn't like that, she can find another church. Your emotional no sense about dogma is irrelevant. No (*)(*)(*)(*) Sherlock. She still went to a Catholic service though didn't she? Ah, the standard "I have nothing to go on but ranting binges of insanity" comment. This is why your on my ignore list, you provide no quality commentary. Coup out?...lol. Says the guy that just brought up suicide bombers being equal to Catholics?.....lmao. I am sorry you have no comeback for freedom of school choice. How that is a coup out I don't know. Fact is you just want to rant about something religious with no real facts to back it up, which is normally the case with emotional arguments. You don't get it and ya never will....lol. Back to my ignore list now....
Oh by the way, Fordham is a Jesuit school....lol. Perhaps you should buy a clue before you open your mouth on something you don't have a clue on.
You couldn't buy a clue if your life depended on it. Here for the benefit of those ignorant of reality. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordham_University
Um, did I miss something?....lol Fordham is Catholic right? That is what it said. What are you goin on about?
Of course you did, but only the important part. No it is not, that is what you missed. that is why you are mistaken again. That you are clueless.
You are assuming that all Catholics, all nurses and all nuns, are against contraception! That's your problem! You live in a dream world. God never asked us to follow his wishes to the letter (especially since there is no "letter"), all he expects from us, imperfect humans by design, is to be the best we can be. God gave us FREE WILL, he didn't take it away to give it to the Pope or the Arshibishop! Time to join the REAL world of spirituality!
The schools health plan has to pay for birth control, yet they refuse to hand it out? Bullcrap. Hand it out. Catholics need to stop assuming that every oter Catholic is opposed to birth control. Millions of Catholics around the world use birth control and have even have abortions. You can say that they are not 'real' Catholics, but you don't get to decide who is a proper Catholic and who isn't.
Um no. As a practicing Catholic, I completely understand there are lots of Catholics who are OK with birth control. I know plenty. Fact is, what they "choose" to condone doesnot force the Church to change their stance. Like I said, she knows her Church doesn't accept birth control, so why would she go to a Catholic service looking for it?....lol. Sounds like someone with an axe to grind.
You are still posting out of ignorance. She did not go to a Catholic service she went to the doctor employed by a secular institution.
Ah yes, here we have another case where our liberal friends (predictably) demand to wag the entire dog because the tail has the "right" to remain still. Stay classy, libs.
