I have no idea what yer talkin about and neither do you.I know Harley talk.
They call their bikes what the model name is.Like a Dyna Super Glide
or a Heritage Springer. An Electra Glide.I've never heard any Harley guy say I have
    an Ultra Classic.
Nice try Pal but you just outtdr yerself. You ain't got knowed Bike.

Wrong Harley VIBRATE my Goodness do they ever.Even rubber mounted models.
Which most Harley are.Yes the early Harley TC88 w/ carbs actually schook
in their frames.I used to marvel at that. Why any rational biker would want a
Motorcycle where the engine shook like crazy. But they eliminated that.Still Harley's
have vibration.Because of the degree on the v-twin.45 degree V-Twins will always pound
harder because the cyclinders are closer together. That is why Metric V-Twins like Honda
spread the V out to 52 degree. That is why the V-rod has such an exceptional engine.
    It's water-cooled for starters and it's 60 degree.Plus it's smaller.And since it's a short stroke
it revs, unlike a standard harley which barely reaches 6,ooo rpm before the rev limiter cuts out
    the fuel supply.
BTW my Honda RUNE is rigid mounted.Which the best bikes or most expensive are.

My Harley really has no engine vibration to speak of except when it's stopped and idling. On the road there is none at all.

you know I really like ya fool but....figured I would tell ya this is an ultra classic
    [IMG]
depending on the circle you ride I call them baggers (Roadking/ultra ect.) I rode a 06 roadking Classic which was nice (same bike really different options)
    mine had your standard windshield
    [IMG]

the Twinkies (Twin Cams) are not what most harleys are the big twins for the last few years have been 88 Twinkies and 96 twinkies before were 80 evo's.

which I prefer more hop ups and more reliable then twin cams.

The VRod is also not exceptional because its watercooled (not the first water cooled HD ever made, first one wasnt liked really)

All motorcycles vibrate they dont have vibrations (sounds dirty when you read it o.0)

also with some of the post getting this far off topic that a lot of people arent talking about bikes they own and why they like riding. not really what I made the thread but a little knowledge (in this case some mistaken and corrected knowledge) is always a good thing to learn.

you also cant bag on factory stock bikes when your running a factory hot rodded bike, thats like a cbr 250 racing a cbr 1000 and the 1000 rider talking smack because he was able to buy a bigger bike.

I gotta admite the rune is a nice bike
    [IMG]

but as good as this bike is I would still prefer harleys FXR
    [IMG]

you like what you like, thats great but you dont have to tell everyone their wronge for what they like. Its a motorcycle. Personal expression.

    Edited in:

forgot to add this is the currect look of my little blast
    [IMG]
about 60-65 miles per gallon no tank skin, no signals, about to remove horn as well. short drag pipe I can be heard 1-2 miles opening it up and still no problems with the cops. :D

Love it. As mentioned it's one of the 2000 numbered special edition 50th Annivesary Sportsters. The 1200 cc evo motor has all of the power I could want and handling is a dream on the twisties. I did change out the seat because I didn't want to wear out the embroiderd 50th Anniversary seat so I'm using a Sundowner now that's a little better on long rides. That and a windshield for long rides at speed is all I've done.

You show you ignorance. you show you know nothing about Harley's or those who ride them.

I own a ultra limited which is part of the Electra glide family. I gave you a link but it seems you refuse to look at it

This is going to be my next bike...this is a 2010 which is the year I want...trade-in my '06 ZX-14
and probably pay around $8.5K for it. I mean I can ride from here to Timbuktu and be comfortable...and power when I need it.

    I love Japanese bikes.

Try riding a BMW. It brings snobbery to a whole new level. I put up with it because I absolutely love the quality of the machine, but, unlike most of my fellow BMW riders, I put a lot of hard miles on it and worry very little about how it looks. Mine is even, *gasp* a salvage bike with a fair amount of customization.

When I went to buy a used bike last year, there were dozens of Harleys, near new, on Craigslist, going for a song. I was almost tempted to get one, they were so inexpensive compared to other cruisers, but I took the salvaged BMW with the odd customizations at near blue book price instead.

Harley's are basically Old school engine design with Pushrods and rocker arms.
They make little horsepower.Willie G really only cares about what motivates his
Brand. Therefore the need to Invent a word that caught on like wiildfire ..." SOFT TAIL "
The brakes on a standard Harely are getting better but still far from as good as on
many a Metric. It's like Tires,I would never want an old Bias tire on a motorcycle.
I would demand a Radial. Harley used Bias tires up until maybe 5-6 years ago..
Ask yourself what kind of Brakes are on a Harley.Or what kind of Forks or rear
shocks. Most Harley owners could care less. The battery Harley uses as stock is a good one
an Interstate. But I would prefer a Yuasa. My hidden rear shock is a Moto GP professional grade.
This really isn't little stuff. This stuff adds up.
Yes Metrics have plastic fenders and Harley are steel. My Rune has a plastic headlamp.
But that's about the only plastic thing on it.
My Rune starts up and runs like a fine german engine.Every doggone time.
It is also rock solid in a straight line. The Rune happens to be exceptionally fast off the line
because it has a hotter cam setup than the average Goldwing.Accessory for a Rune come at a
high price however. The windscreen which is custom and kind of short costs $999.
But the Rune rides like no other bike.It is about as long and heavy a bike as ever made.
But once it moves it is almost feather light to handle.
That big flared exhaust is more art than anything else. The bike sounds like a 911 Porsche.
I have the Blue Valykrie or Illusion Blue.It changes color in the sun from Blue to almost
    purple.

God and goddess, this is like trying to have an intelligent conversation with a mental patient.

Word salad devoid of thought or meaning. Five dollar words from a five cent mind.

No! Wrong! The rear rotor is visible in the picture, even on my Smartphone's tiny screen. If you cannot see it, you need glasses.

No, actually...it's a BRAKE CALIPER! DUH!

It has a rear brake. Not a problem.

What you "feel" is irrelevant. We're dealing in FACTS here, kid.

Repeating something wrong does not make it true, it only makes you look stupid.

You are blind or you are lying.

Not relevant to the motorcycle in question...because it has a rear brake!

Actually, he does. And, of course, Harley-Davidson calls them Ultras! I saw one TODAY, said "Ultra" (I recall Ultra Glide) right on the front fender!

This is what passes for Motorcycle expertise. No different than Politics.
You are mere 100% CONTRARIAN.Yer entire Schtick is now jaded reality.
Americans may have gravitatied to this sort of almost - Pac Man - Video
    - Dungeons & Dragons - Mindset a few years back,but no longer.
Yer type are now literally a dime a dozen. In fact even urban myth has tired with
    yer Starling characterizations.
You a DRAG man.Go find a nice Carnival to peddle yer goods.
You're about as relevant as a cheap Summer sideshow attraction where
Carny Barkers with cheap clothes and big ego's w/ circus cigars that can't stay lit
manage to overwhelm country folk willing to fork over their last paycheck.

Ye gods...are you on DRUGS?!?! Is that directionless word salad intended to actually say ANYTHING? Your posts are reminiscent of poetry from a schizophrenic.

I never claimed to be a motorcycle "expert", but I can see plainly obvious features on a photographed motorcycle. (You, on the other hand, made several ludicrous claims about cars you claimed to have owned, which were total fabrications.)

Fact: the "bobber" pictured has front & rear brakes. No amount of shrieking BS to the heavens will change this simple FACT.

Sorry LIBERAL but this attempt at Saul Alinsky dynamics to intimidate and ridicule
doesn't pass muster too many places.Maybe in N.Y.city and Philly,Chicago.Places where
mere rude Al Capone theatrics are at a premium among the more base educated.
Yer not cute, informative or willing to discuss. You live to wield and foment a form of
near Stalinistic ... Your way or the Highway.
In short you are Sick. You DO realize that. That you need serious help.
