Tyranny and oppression does not automatically invalidate methodology.

But they used the same methodology as you are proposing, aren't they?

You did say bad people and since Trump is a bad person, it should be obvious, shouldn't it?

Not at all. The fact that millions and millions of Americans elected Truck immunizes him from that.

Address the fact that most of the people buying fentanyl were hooked on by their GPs

Here is a thought - how about we bomb Purdue Pharmacies?
    https://www.hbo.com/the-crime-of-the-century

They started it by aggressively marketing an addictive drug

I just want to interject this one thought, and I hope it is not viewed as an attempt to hijack this thread. My side throws verbal bombs at your side and your side throws verbal bombs at my side. There are no innocents in this. We have, all of us who think on all sides, have come to hold our elected officials in very low regard. We view members of congress, especially those not of our side, but all of them, with varying levels of contempt and dismissiveness. . But here's the thing. All of these officials, all of these legislators which we view so poorly, we elected them. We have the government we voted for. Kinda makes you think, huh?

If this does not belong on this thread, perhaps the moderators can start a new thread? Or move it to where it rightly belongs?. Sorry for going off topic. I seem to do that sometimes.

Nah! Why make fun of her looks when she continually comes out with changers like “Peach Tree dish” instead of Petri Dish

Bunch of sickening bloodthirsty savages haven't evolved beyond murdering people indiscriminately. Kill, kill and kill some more. No due process required and if a bunch of innocent men, women and children are murdered or maimed for life in the process, well we'll just call it "collateral damage" because it doesn't sound like indiscriminate murder.

Why do you think due process is always required.

Dropping bombs on a foreign country isn't always the best way to solve problems.

I agree, the cartels are way too militarized.

...but if you were suggesting the cartels are getting their guns from our civilian market, you should check again. They mostly use fully automatic weapons (that are illegal here) that they get from their corrupt military and police and overseas arms dealers. Or perhaps you were confusing the cartels with the Mexican autodefensas? The autodefensas do get a lot of guns from our civilian market, which they primarily use to FIGHT THE CARTELS because their own corrupt military and police won't.

    No but it's the simplest.

    And I prefer simple solutions.

Not sure how it is simple either. Tends to complicate things.

Did you read all of my comment before you quoted and responded? It doesn't look like it.

And sure, anyone running guns to mexico is breaking mexico's laws. ...but its mostly mexicans trying to get guns to defend themselves from the cartels. The cartels prefer military grade, fully automatic weapons which are not available in the US civilian market. They mostly get them from their own corrupt military and police. So, by all means, crack down on US guns going into mexico. But if we keep sending their police and military weapons, then we keep arming their cartels. US civilian weapons are mostly just used by the mexican autodefensas who are trying to fight the cartels, since their own military and police won't.

Would you say the 'war on drugs' thus far has been a success? Seems to me the last thing we need to be doing is further militarizing our police. I don't like the idea of sending the military after the cartels either, though it would prolly be more effective. Legalizing the drugs so they can be produced here would take all the profit out of smuggling, and thats the only thing thats ever going to really end the war on drugs.
