I'm not sure: is the dead horse your all's claim that Sessions lied to the committee or the refutation that he did not?

Its about time. Trump must be getting nervous.

Shock waves created by Mueller’s 10-month probe couldn’t help but have emboldened the Treasury Department this week as it slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin with a bundle of sanctions where it hurts: the pocketbooks of seven of his most faithful oligarchs and 12 of their companies. Working in consultation with the State Department, Treasury applied sanctions to another 17 senior Russian government officials. In its announcement, Treasury linked “the Kremlin’s malign agenda” directly to the sanctioned elites.

Trump really must be getting worried. We know his lawyers are trying to work out a deal regarding the questioning by Mueller. He finally blamed Putin by name for an atrocity.

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world. President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price...

The net is closing in. His many distractions, sending troops to the border, starting a trade war with China, and attacking his own DOJ and FBI, are simply not working.

    Here is an interesting twist.

Among the hardest core of the hard-core Trump fan base, it is an axiomatic truth that the Mueller investigation is nothing but a sinister deep state conspiracy, or even that Trump is masterfully directing the entire thing behind the scenes. Perhaps more interesting, though, is the viewpoint of an adjacent bloc on the right. These conservatives, who seem to hold the political high ground within the Republican Establishment, do not frontally attack Robert Mueller or deny the basis of his investigation. Instead, they see him as largely vindicating Trump, while perhaps uncovering some minor misdeeds by ancillary figures. They have maintained at least some contact with reality, while still clinging to a belief in Trump’s innocence.

Actually though the name trump is daily trumpeted by the media and Trump's enemies, Mueller over the past year has not come close to indicting Trump nor his team over Russia.

Yet the claims flow from the so called left wingers as were something really is there.

Think this way. Obama promised the nation no Russian meddling could fix the election. Who knew more than Obama since by early January suddenly Obama brought up Russia meddling. Still despite the report, nothing contained is proof. Sure, plenty of allegations. But as we learned from the secret agents reports leading to the Iraq war, the secret services who perform in general well, do make errors.

One would expect by this date, Mueller would have connected both Trump to Russian meddling plus meddling to showing how Facebook is not guilty, but that Russia is.

There are some notable Republicans in the Establishment who are supportive, albeit more quiet, of overthrowing the president.

The FBI just raided Cohen's office on a tip from Mueller.
I guess he is doing some of what the righties have been asking for. So he just turned it over to the regular FBI.

Cohen says he has fully cooperated with the law enforcement agencies requests. He is puzzled over this raid.

Fanatics of the Trump cult like to fancy such is the case, however the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel has maintained a high level of confidentiality in his ongoing investigation, and the truth is that no one outside of Mueller's team knows the extent of the progress in developing evidence.

Indictments of and confessions by Trump operatives of what was once hysterically dismissed as a "Nothingburger!", "Fake News!", and a "Witch Hunt!" are the only substantive results revealed to date.

Trump insider Bam Bam Bannon labeled the covert trysts between Putin's agents and Trump's (about which they lied under oath) as "treasonous", but that declaration is merely speculative and egregiously premature.

We do know that Putin conspired to pervert a US presidential election while promoting Trump. How determinative such subversive activities were in the election is unknowable, but it would be ludicrous to believe that Putin actually thought his slimy machinations could elect Trump whose narcissistic paranoia had him raving about a "rigged" election in anticipation of his losing.

Had he fallen short, there is little doubt he would have persisted in whining, given that his ego caused him to hallucinate about millions and millions of imaginary bogus voters all casting ballots against him.

Trump's worshippers would buy the crybaby tantrump, of course, thus serving Putin's agenda of undermining democracy in the US - as he has conspired to do in France, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Ukraine, and elsewhere.

Partisan concerns aside, a coordinated response, possibly under the auspices of NATO, is demanded in defense of democracy.

Those who are eager to surrender to Putin cannot be permitted to betray the US in such a vital matter.

I have no clue about a Trump cult but my cult is one devoted to justice, not pleasing Democrats.

    Have this fact.

Mueller has nosed around a lot.

To date he has not levied charges against Donald Trump. Sure you can tell me he may, but that is not the same as he has. You can't support this notion of he might charge Trump. In the Democrats cult mind, a hint stands for a charge.

Mueller is a law and order dude to the core of his being.

Obviously, when he uncovers tangential evidence of criminal activity in the course of his essential patriotic mission - protecting the US against attacks by hostile, foreign powers in the form of perverting the democratic process - he does not blithely dismiss it, but refers it to the proper authorities.

The inquiry into the assault upon the integrity of the 2016 presidential election and his essential responsibility in preventing such perfidy in the future cannot be diverted by any of the subjects' squalid antics that are not germane to his proper focus, US security.

Indeed, Mueller has discharged his responsibilities as the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel with integrity and diligence. Your speculation regarding whether he develops sufficient evidence to charge Trump himself with criminal activities is a matter about which I have not and do not speculate.

Petty partisan concerns must not be allowed to impede the defense of the democratic process.

Personally, I hope the P*ssy Grabber is not given the bum's rush. His legislative incompetence and the prospect pf Ayatollah Pence successfully colluding with radicals in Congress in furtherance of his theocratic jihad is a disturbing prospect, but the nation's interests are paramount.

No no no, do not confuse a prosecutor with democracy. They are the least example of democracy I can suspect. I am not questioning Mueller given he has not levied charges nor claims against Trump. Democrats allege they do, but they are a cult.

Which is why, I presume, you think Mueller's hangman raided Manafort's (who had been cooperating fully with congressional investigations) home in a predawn, guns drawn, no-knock intrusion.

I have no idea what "Democrats" are telling you whatever it is they are telling you. They can divine what Mueller is uncovering any more than you can, so I suggest that you ignore whoever they are.

Obviously, Mueller's findings will be revealed only when his task has been completed and his report issued. It will indict or exonerate as the evidence dictates. That most Americans consistently disapprove of Trump's job performance will have no bearing whatsoever on the inquiry's conclusions.

The Trump Justice Department Special Counsel's patriotic mission is in defense of the American democratic process. Again, petty, partisan concerns cannot be permitted to pervert it.

I am not familiar with "Mueller's hangman," but assume that Manafort has retained competent counsel who will attempt to cite any improprieties in the Special Counsel's efforts to expose criminal culpability, and such protestations will receive appropriate consideration in assessing the validity of any evidence thereby derived.

Maybe, just maybe. Andrew Weissmann is Mueller's chief hangman having been chastised twice by courts (and almost disbarred) for over zealous and inappropriate prosecution in two major cases.

No, Weissmann is not a "hangman," He is currently a member of the team of the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel.

"Almost disbarred" is a feeble aspersion in line with the fatwa waged by Trump cheerleader media entertainers against a tough prosecutor. Trump ass kissers clearly fear him and, of course, try desperately to discredit him. As a tenacious, successful criminal prosecutor, he has earned the enmity of some high-priced defense attorneys of mafia types and corporate criminals.

Are you saying Trump cheerleaders were or are behind the Supreme Court's 2005 9-0 ruling that unceremoniously threw out two of Weissmann's high profile convictions? Really???

Weissmann is an aggressive prosecutor who has appeared before judges who have had their decisions concerning corporate crimes reversed.

If he were part of the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel's team that were to bring criminal charges against Trump, and if Trump were convicted, that decision could also be reversed is it were appealed and the convicting judge determined to have erred in finding for the prosecution.

That would be par for Weissmann, ignoring the fact that a sitting president can not be indicted or that a prosecutor cannot bring criminal charges if there is no crime -- with the exception of Weissmann of course.

If Weissman were to convince a judge to do anything improper, Trump could be expected to retain sufficiently competent counsel to have such a verdict reversed.

You need not fixate upon and fret unduly over such hypotheticals.

Trump bum-kisser media entertainers are scaring their disciples with such fanciful confections.
