I understand that Russia and Israel are pretty cosy. Will Tsar Vladimir the Foolish be rethinking that relationship?

Both sides (US, Russia) have allowed Israel to play all sides. Putin thinks Israel will be his ticket to circumvent sanctions and help weaken the Western alliance.

The Israel Lobby in the US has too many figures across a wide range of institutions and in both parties for the to ever be able to stand up to the Israelis. And an Israeli lobby growing in power and influence in Europe and UK the past decade, along with Holocaust guilt by the Germans, gives Israel sufficient levers to neutralize the only part of the Western alliance that wasn't completely under their thumb.

The "Israel Lobby", incidentally, shouldn't be seen as "Jewish". Not only there is arguably a majority of American Jews who don't support most of the agenda of the Israel Lobby, but the main groups that breathe some of the most obnoxious tendencies to this lobby are Christian Zionists (e.g., Christian evangelicals) in alliance with the MIC crowd. The latter part, however, is on the opposite side of Israel when it comes to Russia/Ukraine and may ultimately be the only one with enough clout to put the Israelis in check.

The impressive thing about the cyber attack, coming on the heels of Iran's relatively quick retaliation against Israel for the attack in Syria, is the quickness of the response. When the Rouhani gang where in power, they had created bureaucratic obstacles for any form of quick response by basically requiring the IRGC to get authorization from Iran's supreme national security council for any retaliation. Now it seems the supreme national security council has given the IRGC broad authorization to respond and retaliate against Israeli moves. The importance of this fact cannot be overstated. It basically means all the propaganda and efforts by the usual suspects with the assistance of their collaborators in Iran to tie-down IRGS's hand in what you would call in the US "rules of engagement" have been defeated.

None of your business really, as they are part of contingent of IRGC advisors and officers in Syria at the invitation of the Syria government. You act as though you have no clue about several divisions in Syria that are composed of shia recruits from various countries led by Iranian officers who did the main fighting on the ground to defeat ISIS, AQ et all supported by a panoply of western and regional states to unseat Assad. You also seem unaware of Israel's almost daily aerial attacks in Syria until last week or the agreement between Iran and Syria to boost Syria's air defenses.

Iran has used advanced air defense batteries against Israel in Syria
Since Iran has deployed new air defense batteries in Syria last year, the IAF has had to change how they carry out their strikes

I do not care. In 99.999% I'm asking the topic from Western sources. It seems to me that you are able to think adequately, so you understand that it is ridiculous to call my posts Russian propaganda.
Or do you think the Western media are KGB agents?
By the way. In your opinion, is the photo an example of "Russian propaganda" in the Western media? Or is it a banal reality?

So you think that interpreting what you read in Western media to suit your agenda isn't propaganda? How can you miss it? It is you who is doing it?

Of course not. Israel is a democratic ally of the U.S. Russia is an authoritarian enemy. You didn't need to ask the question. You already knew the answer.

of course yes. I ask questions not to get an answer, but so that the opponent thinks about the possible answer himself :)

Then there is no point in posing it as a question. A statement of opinion is a more appropriate way.

There are a lot of lobbyists in Washington. The pro Israel Lobby is one of the strongest. But its strength is at its height when all of its constituent parts are on the same page. The military-industrial complex (MIC) in the US is the beneficiary of tens of billions of $ from America's nearly one trillion $ defense budget and was the primary benefactor of $14 trillion spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are tens of thousands, even a few million, whose jobs, careers, and perks, are directly tied to the fortunes of MIC. As MIC saw the agenda of the pro Israel lobby in the so-called "war on terror", the PNAC agenda, and the focus on "confronting Iran". all to its benefit, it became a full-fledged partner of the pro Israel Lobby. With Christian Zionist devotees and foot soldiers, and propaganda savy and big donor influence of AIPAC, the neocons were able to take-over much of the Republican party along with certain parts of the Democratic party.

But then came along Trump, Putin, and ideas about a Grand Bargain which were pushed by the Israelis. And the limits of the strictly "Israeli" part of the coalition began to show, with MIC+Atlantic alliance lobby powerful enough to basically prevent any notion of taking Russia (the Russian 'threat' the reason d'etre of NATO and the excuse for $ billions of MIC projects and programs and countless American and European careers) as some sort of a partner. Even as POTUS, Trump couldn't really pursue his agenda and deal with Putin and ended up reluctantly having to even authorize however belatedly the delivery arms to Ukraine...

    1. I think there was washing powder in Colin Powell's test tube when he lied to the international community.
    2. It speaks of US weakness.

Bidens committed dive back into the Iran deal demonstrates they dont even have any influence beyond support of US military equipment to Israel.

Or, all those convoys of trucks streaming into Syria right before the US invasion of Iraq, removed all materials in violation of any chem or bio weapons agreements

I see that you are still spouting that rubbish. Please tell, what would be the point of having chemical weapons when the one time you need them you transport them to another country? And you think that while Iraq was about to be destroyed Saddam was more worried about violations LOL

When the impending invasion by another country is based upon the claim that you have chemical weapons. Especially with the US military with the equipment to neutralize the effects of chemical weapons. Other than the Iran/Iraq war. Saddams use of chemical weapons was on his own civilians. Kurds in the north and shiites in the south.

They weren't specifically the "targets". The specific target was the base and supply depot they were assigned to.
Until a couple of years ago, after a couple of incident which led to near major flare ups, the Israeli attacks on "pro Iran" targets in Syria would always have Israel give a short advance notice if the base had actual Iranian and/or Hezbollah officers. Since then, the focus of Israeli attacks have been mostly Syrian and Iraqi units, with no advance warnings, but they have rarely attacked any base with actual Iranian officers. In the 2 occasions they did, Iran responded even if various agendas and propaganda have been used to dilute the message from Iran's response:
-- the Russians don't want Israel to be the prime target, so they use their propaganda tools (including in the Syrian gov and Syria's news agency) to spin the attacks as targeting the US even when the target is explicitly not the US.
--- the Iran allied Arab militias from Syria, Iraq and Lebanon/Hezbollah, need to push back a Saudi et al narrative about Arab lives being expendable in Iran's eyes to undermine these groups and their ties to Iran. As such, faced with criticism that Iran never responds to almost daily Israeli attacks that kill Syrians or Iraqis but responds when Iranian lives are taken, these groups also often shift the narrative of why Iran has retaliated to something else.
--- the Israelis and neocons have a full-fledged propaganda war, aimed at ultimately at dragging the US into war with Iran, which attempts to paint Iran too feeble, too scared, too incapable, of doing anything if it is attacked...
    ...
On Iran, nothing you read, not even on the most basic facts, follow anything but propaganda (much of it very silly, unless you are followings very closely).
