    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/nancy-pelosi-husband-paul-assaulted-home-invasion-spokesman-says

The husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Paul, has been "violently assaulted" this morning in a San Francisco home invasion, the congresswoman’s spokesperson says.

"Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi," spokesperson Drew Hammill said. "The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation.

Given they are in California it was probably a robbery. But it might not be. We will see. If it’s politically motivated it’s unacceptable and completely over the line. Though I would expect if it was politically motivated it wouldn’t have been MR Pelosi who was assaulted.

I’m theorizing it’s either a robbery or it’s connected to his drunk driving incident where he caused injuries and basically got a slap on the wrist.

He's expected to make a full recovery and it was in the Pacific Heights area of San Fran. San Fran is not a safe place at all. Violent mobs and gangs routinely corner women and beat them up or break into homes to steal and vandalize. It used to be one of my favorite cities. Great Blues Bars where I got to see the likes of John Lee Hooker. Now, it's dump.

I hope he is okay and recovers fully. As the assailant is in custody, I suspect that he might have still been there when police arrived so I would rule our robbery, but need to see where the investigation leads.

Too bad Paul wasn't packing. Could have made the assailant look like swiss cheese.

Lot of details still to come out and speculation sounds like fun to me so I’ll speculate that this seems to me to be a targeted event due to the apparent quick apprehension of the assailant regardless of what I assume is high security there with cameras and alarms.

Or it could just be a bewildered homeless drunk got mad someone was already in his new squatter home and had really bad music(alarm system) on and beat him up.

Potentially for sure. The Pelosi's and their Marie Antoinette attitude surely have riled some peoples emotions. However, I surely hope it's not a "Rand Paul" act.

So you're saying that if it was politically motivated, they deserved it...

Well that's terrible and I hope they lock up the assailant and throw away the key. People who commit home invasions/assaults have no place in the public.

Of course the assailant would have been caught. How else would he be able to blame it on the GOP and their violent rhetoric.

From the part I quoted. You're stating that they asked for it by their actions or that in some way they deserved it.

I would say that, if it is politically motivated, their "attitude" had absolutely nothing to do with it. But you clearly expressed a different opinion.

Of course the LSM will spin it that way. Look how they spun the Katie Hobbs break in. Karie Lake did it.

Because of the man's own words? We don't know yet, but it would seem like a huge coincidence if it was a run of the mill robbery. In other words, my bet is that he's a RW kook.

And like most liberals, you take portions of a comment to fabricate your own assertion. I note you conveniently did not include this little piece of my quote "However, I surely hope it's not a "Rand Paul" act.".

Kind of a dickish move on your part.

Seems like a case of chickens coming home to roost:

Pelosi slams ‘outrageous’ crime surge, won't cop to its cause
I guess they didn't crack down enough.
