    Maybe "the left" is made up of individuals where one person says one thing, and someone else says something else. You know, - like common sense would suggest.

    Not as easy to get a gun in California. I don't want to imagine if this had been Florida. Here our home invaders would probably laugh at anybody entering a home with just a hammer instead of an assault rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, which usually results in everybody in the house dead, a couple of neighbors in the hospital, and the shooter and two or three dead cops.

    Or, as we call it here... a typical Tuesday.

    All the stories I've seen said they still don't know the motive for the attack. In order to know the motive, cops would have questioned him without a lawyer present and then leaked what the thug said to the media.

    It goes to show how the Republicans in general are using violence to make their desires known;

    Perhaps. I just think it is ironic that this happened to the Pelosi residence in a city where the DA couldn't be bothered to lock up violent criminals... I have seen lots of folks who are claiming this was "politically motivated"... My first question is, why? Hammer wielding drug fiend, or mafia collector? Hard to know. If this turns out to have been staged so Nancy could have that "mea culpa" moment and cry on national TV saying "we were wrong on cashless bail", will you be appalled? I will be.

    So the thug confessed his motives and they were leaked to just ABC?

    Maybe you missed the summer of mostly peaceful protests where there were more than 25 murders, thousands of assaults and buildings burned to the ground.

    Or maybe you missed the attack on a Supreme Court justice that was narrowly averted.

    Or maybe you missed the attack on Rand Paul.

    And what are the desires of the Republicans that an attack on Pelosi would bring about?

    Nah, I doubt it actually was. I don't give Nancy that kind of credit... But it would be stupendous to watch that press conference... Dare to dream? meh...

    I am reminded when democrats gave the CA democrat who tried to assassinate a supreme court justice a pass. Why do democrats suddenly care that Nancy, and her home were targeted here?

    If the attacker was seaming “Where is Nancy, where is Nancy?”, then its clear he was not just a burglar. Probably some nutcase whose head is wrapped up in political extremism.
