I am so tired of militants trying to compare race with a sexual act

No they aren't.

They are both factors that have made individuals the target of discrimination and bigotry. Race and sexual orientation are equally idiotic reasons to hate an individual. Yet if you look back through history...both have been reasons given for violating individuals rights. Blacks and gays have suffered similar treatment throughout the decades, such as loss of employment rights, loss of equal housing rights, as well as being lynched by the KKK, and having their right to marry the person they love taken.

 

One being more visible doesn't take anything away from the fact gay people are discriminated against. Some gay men and women are so "contrary" to their own gender roles in terms of femininity/masculinity that there's few people who wouldn't be able to guess that they were gay. Many of these have always been that way, from infancy... It's not a put on "act"; it's something natural to them that society asscioates with being homosexual. Short of trying to change their voices, mannerisms and personalities, there's little they can do to cover it up 24/7...

I cannot really believe that you expect others to disprove your "facts" are bs (you should run for office) but since there are no published statistics on US divorce rates in the US that I can find I am sure you will have a hard time proving that 80% of lesbian marriages end in divorce. We can however prove that 60% of heterosexual marriages end that way.

Statistics from the UK state that fewer than 1% of civil partnerships end in divorce.

Also divorce rates actually drop in areas where SSM is legalized.

You people are really running out of arguments when you refuse to cite any sources for your propaganda. It is really sad when you think about it

The Earth will switch polarity on its axis, and when people flush the toilet, it will drain clockwise rather than counter clockwise as it should in the Northern Hemisphere. This in turn will lead to disorientation due to the water draining in the opposite directing, thus causing many people to fall into the toilet. As a result there will be a breakdown of our society and mass hysteria!!! On a more positive note, antibacterial soap sales will skyrocket, making millions for the antibacterial companies. Buy stock now before it is to late!!!

In all seriousness... it will cause no lasting ill effects other than some people getting all worked up over nothing. Life will go on, the Country will survive, no worse for the wear...

It is not about special rights, but equal rights for all. FYI, I am not gay, I am just not homophobic. Not saying that you are, but many in America are. This is the Land of the Free is it not. Not the Land of the Free unless you are gay.

 

If not being able to have children means gays can't marry, then why not ban all people who can't have children from being allowed to marry? Lets even force woman who have reached menopause to get divorced...since they can no longer have children and should not be allowed to be married because of it.

 

You probably do not understand why people have marriage.
The only reason to regulate and license relationship between a man and a woman is to prevent possible negative consequences associated with such relationship.

 

then you're all for not allowing sterile couples to marry then. as well as forced divorce for couples who haven't procreated. as well as forced divorce for couples where the woman has went through menopause.

Sterile couples, forced divorce and other B.S. has nothing to do with the reason why people have marriage. I am not sure why you repeat that nonsense.
For the same reason government does not revoke licenses from those people who do not drive cars. It regulates everybody who can potentially can drive.
