    I prefer logic.

Babies do infact live outside the womb prior to 24 weeks. That is not debatable. Even the WHO admits that.

So... I always thought the pro-choice crowd stated that they support abortion because the baby isn't viable outside the womb, so it isn't murder.

Now, the goal posts locations change?

Although I suppose trying to emulate god is a little like Goedel's incompleteness theorem. In other words, no matter how much evil you do, god is still ultimately responsible for you and therefore all the evil you do, so all of your evil is still just the product of god, and therefore you can never, no matter what you do, ever approach the evil of god.

no, that is not what anyone is saying, once someone is born they are alive, it's republican that say she should be dead if the parents are poor

had she never of been born she would not be

you logic is like you must support rape if a baby came from the rape, cause if the rape never existed the baby would not of existed... that is twisted logic

    What “logic”

All I have seen so far is “pro life” lies

Although there ARE rare cases of viability prior to 24 weeks (in fact there have bee 22 week old infants) they are rare, require inordinate and expensive and painful interventions for the infant, and have no assurances that the infant will not suffer life long severe disabilities. This is exactly why the age of viability has not been reduced. It is so the parents with the medical staff have the opportunity to make the decision whether or not to proceed with what in the vast majority of cases is futile care.

I remember a NICU nurse crying as she was telling me of a 22 week infant they had attempted resuscitation on.. the skin kept tearing because it was not fully formed

That poster is saying the little girl should be dead. We are discussing late term abortion and infanticide here.

The only way to make sure she doesn't feel hunger is to snuff out her life...kill her. Sick to advocate killing offspring at mothers whim and dress it up with compassionate verbiage. Pretty sure that's how Ted Bundy managed his killings.

What the hell does this have to do with anything? Pregnancy is a natural consequence of having sex.

Yes, from the original sin of Eve. What does this have to do with child birth being a "punishment from God for having sex?"

That's fine. The whole thread makes me physically ill. Serial killers don't have respect for human life and see human life as objects to dispose of at will. And that's what I'm hearing here. Just creepy.

And are they against the bill SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE it is something "that aids or helps women?" "

"I do believe Christian extremists view anything that aids or helps women is wrong."
Okay, so do you think that Christians think that doctors are "wrong?" :roflol:

If the zygotes they pine for are truly souls then they are guaranteed a place in heaven as total innocents should they 'die' before birth, a much better fate than to be born to parents who demonstrably don't want them.

No, serial killers see other human beings like themselves as objects to dispose of at will. People who countenance abortion on demand see a woman's body as her own and say she has a perfect right to remove any unwanted growth from inside it at any time she desires for any reason

Some do. Doctors "thwart god's will" and the only therapy they approve of is prayer.

And believing this is believing that "child birth is a punishment from God for having sex?"

Exactly, because they believe that doctors "thwart god's will", not because doctors aid or help women! You totally screwed up whatever point your were trying to make!

Yes, the woman is being given an extremely difficult and life threatening illness, which is what pregnancy actually is to her, then the torturous and often fatal ordeal of childbirth followed by 18 years of travail to raise a child. If the woman did not want the child in the first place then how can you see it as anything BUT a punishment for having sex?

Surely you are not going to tell me that you didn't know that many women still die in childbirth?:

Epidemiology. Maternal deaths and disabilities are leading contributors in women's disease burden with an estimated 275,000 women killed each year in childbirth and pregnancy worldwide. In 2011, there were approximately 273,500 maternal deaths (uncertainty range, 256,300 to 291,700). From Maternal Death, Wikipedia

That would amount to a TINY percentage of all pregnancies!
