If the coronavirus had feelings, it would celebrate human stupidity. Because that's the only way how it can spread.

If COVID had feeling it be laughing at vax'd people and politicians still pissing down both legs at the con job being played on them.. All the rules to stop the spread until a vax is found, and now all the same rules apply after a vax(X4) is being administered..

We see a lot of laws without 'teeth'. Which is ridiculous. If you go to the trouble of making a law, be sure that there is enforcement capabilities.

 

A general rule, if one doesn't want to get sick. Avoid crowded spaces.

Keep one's hands sanitized. Or avoid contact with hands to face.

 

The government exists to serve the people, not for the people to serve the government. This one was a rightful win for the people, and a rightful loss to the government.

 

Yes, but if you look back at the biggest spikes in infection rates, they mostly follow openings of a celebratory type, like last year's Spring Break, Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, and the holidays. Not to mention 250,000 or so unmasked partiers in Sturgis last summer. People dropped all cautionary measures, like masks and social distancing. Bars and restaurants were crowded, and the results were tens of thousand of needless deaths.

If we insist on continuing to feed this virus, it will keep mutating to stronger variants that may or may not be kept at bay by the vaccines we currently have. We'll never be rid of it as long as so many of us refuse to heed the science.

It will continue mutating no matter what we do. it is what viruses do. As to the spikes. I haven't seen any evidence blaming them on celebrations. Mostly I read about fears of spikes. The science says 70% of infections occur in the home. Less than 10% occur in stores and restaurants. The science says you should stay away from home. I have my fill of the hysteria. Spare me please.

Governor to the throne, but oops...two young Black women popped up alleging unwanted sexual advances on his part....hmmm, yet that still left the Attorney General, but oops again! I haven't set foot in a restaurant since (IIRC) Nov 2019, haven't ordered take out, delivery, etc either. Honestly I don't think I'll ever eat from a restaurant again.

Reminds me of the government of France passing laws against their North American colonists (before 1760) running off to the bush when it became obvious farming in Quebec sucked and far more money could be made in the fur trade. So, the male colonists would scoot, the government back in France would pass new laws against taking off for the bush, send more colonists... [rinse, repeat]. I used to get my students to comment on translations of the letters going back and forth between the French government and colonial officials. It was my "So-you-think-this-is-something-new...?" entertainment.

There were complaints from Quebec priests that the men weren't content even when French female colonists were sent because there were naked (in the summer) aboriginal females out in the bush more than happy to oblige French male colonists.
