Nothing like this will save Cuomo. Besides, what Cuomo is alleged to have done is far worse than putting on blackface.

The vaccination is not complete. The idea that since one person got the vaccine that everything should be back to normal is ridiculous. We are close, but not there yet. And remember, were not there yet because the number one demographic of those not getting the vaccine.........middle aged Republican Men....

Hell I live in Iowa, and our “open” governor just cancelled a session of the Iowa legislature because of a covid outbreak.....you cannot make this **** up with a TEAM of writers

How about you...? If we had even done as well as Canada, we would have had about 200,000 deaths. Aren't you curious why 550,000 Americans are dead?

My guess is this guy had a lot to do with it...

How about the people who supported him knowing about the 500,000 deaths? Do they have any responsibility? How about you?

You "forgot" hundreds of thousands packed in the streets nationwide celebrating Biden's "victory".

Share the science that says otherwise. Not government propaganda, but an actual scientific study.

Here is the Science that says Fauci is full of crap.

Multiple studies that the infected have immunity for at least 7 months and likely much longer.

I always found it amazing that these spikes only occurred for joyful things. Sturgis? "mass spreader". 4th of July? "mass spreader". Wedding? "mass spreader".

And yet spikes never happened for hateful things. Like riots.

Maybe the virus hates hate!!! There we go all! Found the cure! Hate Everyone and Everything!!! We'll kill it FAST!

Then you haven't been listening. Fauci just last two week again has said mask and distancing will last the rest of the year and fair chance most of 2022.. Clearly you are behind the curve so I'd prefer you catch up and not ask me to catch you up on recent and common news..

    Good luck..

If the vaccines are between 80 and 90+% effective, and 75 to 80% of us get vaccinated, the virus will stop spreading effectively enough to continue strengthening and morphing into more aggressive strains.

    https://abcnews4.com/news/local/us-could-reach-herd-immunity-by-summer-experts-say-03-13-2021

Once we reach true herd immunity, we can take off the masks. Coming to your town this summer, if we aren't too ****ing stupid.

    Wow. Nice rant. Off-topic, though.

I remember Virginia's fiasco, it was only a few years ago, so you didn't need to school me on that. It doesn't change my post, which is a reply to the OP.

By Old Dominion, do you mean the university by that name in Norfolk?

See #46. It applies to last summer's protests, with liberal participants mostly wearing masks and at least making attempts here and there to keep a distance.

Last year's holidays, in many states with indifferent governors, were all-you-can-eat buffets for the virus. Open bars and restaurants, college parties, big holiday gatherings ... you know, those things that the actual scientists said were to be avoided at all costs, or else we'd have spikes in deaths. Which we did, just as the scientists predicted.

I saw NO attempts at social distancing during the riots or protests. I saw a lot of people touching each other. Something that transmits the virus and masks won't protect against. Anyone that believes that one group became "superspreaders" while the other did not is either blind or lying to you.

Dunno, but that's not the issue presently, do try and follow along it makes thread a lil less irritating.

    example
I wish people would take a moment and at least read thru a simple TWO PAGE thread before having to be walked thru it..

    Your own cite concluded:

"Reinfection is rare. Natural infection appears to elicit strong protection against reinfection with an efficacy >90% for at least seven months."
Your two cites don't support your position.
Israel's easing assumes everyone in a venue is vaccinated. Here, will some idiot governor (DeSantis, Abbott, Noem, Kemp) will make sure you can't demand proof of vaccination for entry into a private business?

The Provincial Health Officer in British Columbia--you know, the place with about one-quarter the population of Florida that has 1,421 covid deaths to Florida's 32,712--said vaccinated people can gather freely, but vaccinated people should continue wearing masks when social distancing is impossible with unvaccinated people.
Your point is what? Are you advising people not to get the shot?

Would you even have a little curiosity about why so relatively few people have died in British Columbia compared to Florida? How about Florida taking a serious look at why so many people died? Think maybe DeSantis may be partly to blame?

BC schools have been open since September. Elementary children who can't be left alone at home are in school all day. High school students attend half time.

Bars? Open with seating restrictions indoors. Restaurants? The same. Stores? Open. Malls? Open. Big box retailers? Open. Go outside for a walk? No problem, just watch out you're not run over by a courier.

Large gatherings for funerals, weddings, conventions, sporting events, concerts have been limited or cancelled.

Are you wondering why they've done better when stores are open, schools going, etc?

Look at other states compared to BC with 5.1m people and 1,421 deaths.

Seems as though some of this shouldn't have happened. We're not going to easily move on until we determine what went wrong, if anything. There are red states, blue states ... no one will escape some blame, if blame is in order. Someone must have done a good job my an objective measure.
