If Kavanaugh had been quiet and reserved, they would have said he was obviously guilty because he didn't passionately defend himself. But since he was passionate, they say he doesn't have the temperament to be on the Supreme Court.

I have no dog in this, but why did he not just present himself and state his case. There is no need for dramatics or theatre, is there? (Wife and kids there for example.) Ford was understated. (Gee if she was making up a tale, why make it so 'tame?' Why not go the full tootee and really make out a very nasty event. What she descibed was bad, but if she wanted to lie, why not ramp it right up?) I liked that. Kavanaugh was bullish with an annoying constant sniffle. I did not like that.

I think he is not guilty based on irrefutable facts presented to the public. Anyway he should be confirmed and if FBI establishes that he was guilty simply impeach him. But of course, that's not what you want because you know he isn't guilty. You just want to buy some more time and delay until 2020.

I did too. He had no need to mention his ten year old kid. That was part of his theatrical dramatics which took away from his credibility.
