    I have no problem with them having the power sub people and conduct oversight.

    But they aren’t the police or the judicial branch...we separated the powers for a reason. If they don’t like someone responding to their request, go to court

    You aren't answering the questions which deals with the need to provide some secrecy in the preliminary stages of any investigation. There is no point to a right to depose and question possible witnesses and subpoena testimony and documents in order to provide oversight into wrongdoing and potentially criminal behavior, if the entire planet knows exactly what each person and each piece of evidence on day 1 says says, throughout the entire two month investigation. The house cannot be expected to perform the same functions of a special council ( which they were for over a 175 years before there was a special prosecutor statute or council rules in the AG regulations) with C-span in the room the whole time.

    You utterly refuse to speak to this point as your write lyrically about shining light in the committee rooms.
