    I think it would refer to the idea that the name, although not yet public, will likely be "leaked" in the near future. In other words, it's a leak in progress.

    Correct me if I am wrong but the proper English for this would be "he is going to leak" or "he will leak", which is a prediction and an opinion, not slanderous and deliberately ambiguous "he is leaking". Don't you agree? ;)

    So the rights defense to all of this is "he's a democrat" ? Would you think it more credible if it came from a republican ?

    FFS, Trumps own transcript that HE released confirmed one of the main allegations in the complaint. You then have confirmation, via the releases from the hearings, from people appointed by Trump, that the allegation of a quid-pro-quo was REAL.

    And the whistleblower going to a congressman is perfectly acceptable. The same as a private citizen going to a lawyer for advice/counsel. Schiff does have a JD form Harvard ;) Read the whistleblower laws.

    The fact that the only defense from the right has been to attack the messenger, and not to address the allegations is very telling.

    You still do not understand why the constitution gave the legislative branch the power to subpoena and investigate as a check on executive and judicial corruption and overreach and the responsibility to impeach.

    Here's a clue. they are the only option we've got when all the other policing institutions are taking orders from the Mayor, or the Governor, or the President. In this situation, the legislature is the only cop on the beat getting a paycheck written elsewhere.

    They were given the power to subpoena and depose witnesses and documents. Now either remove the power entirely and let the executive run free of any supervision, or show me any other institution that opens up the process of investigating wrongdoing and interviewing potential witnesses and preparing strategy to the public and media.

    Lets' try it this way. Why shouldn't the police, the FBI, the Sheriff's dept, and the DA's Office, and the Dept of Justice open their processes of acquiring evidence, interviewing witnesses, and planning legal strategy to the public? What's wrong with all that sunshine all through this process from start to finish? What's going to go wrong if the reporter is in the interrogation room, and newspapers are printing copies of every transcript the next day after each witness has talked to the cops? Make a list of everything and every way that this might get compromised or tainted

    The whistleblower is a Democrat who met with Schift, although Schift lied about it.

    No first hand info..... no Quid pro quo.

    Both parties are privy to all hearings, thus not secret. However one side is doing everything they can to prevent witnesses from testifying and withholding subpoenaed documents. What does that tell you?
