Well for a start, they won't be able to use a urinal trough, so for more options they'd be better off going to the ladies where there are more cubicles. But if I'm honest, I have to admit a double standard here because I'm not seeing a problem with a transgender man using a men's bathroom but I do see a problem with a transgender woman using the women's bathroom! Does that make me a sexist against men? For the record, I'm a man myself!

A pedophile can dress up today. And do the same thing. They could 12 yrs ago as well.

It's not so much a public issue as it is a private sector issue. It's not a right because we don't have laws guaranteeing they will be allowed to use the bathroom of their choosing wherever they go. That is something that varies depending on the specific establishment, and generally these establishments think in terms of what will satisfy their customers most.

This woman isn't transgendered and not all that rare.

Annie Jones (1860 – 1902) was an American bearded woman, born in Virginia

Are you assuming that person's gender based on looks? You could be banned from your safe space.

By a psychologist. No one appointed me.
You people are not to bright, you think you will wake up one day and declare a gender. Time to become adults.

When you become adult enough to know transgender, then come back to a discussion. No time for children.

    My thoughts are this.

Bathrooms aren't comfortable to begin with. I'm uncomfortable when the guy next to me in the stall sounds like he's giving birth. I'm uncomfortable when the guy next to me at the urinal is holding himself, moaning, and starting up at the ceiling simply from the act of urinating. Bathrooms don't guarantee comfort, so I guess I don't see a point of worrying about that.

Normal? Normal never existed. In a world with nearly 7 billion people there is no such thing as normal. The bathroom you know as "normal" isn't even normal. Travel the world and you will see how different public restrooms and restrooms in general are. Go to London and ask to use the bathroom and you won't necessarily find a toilet in the room you are pointed to. And that's in Great Britain. Imagine China.

Their rights aren't trumping yours, they simply are being allowed the freedom to live as they want. Don't you expect the same? Again, in public you will be exposed to things you don't like or agree with. That's part of going out in public. That's part of living in America.

The questions about the WNBA are a bit different. Now there are measurable, objective differences at play. That said, there are probably WNBA players who could outdo many of the men in the NBA. So if the WNBA and the players are OK with it, why stop him? Let him play and maybe the next question will become, why do we insist on separating the genders so much? Is it really because women can't compete, or is it because men can't tolerate losing to a woman from time to time? Have you considered that thought?

So. You are saying that it would be best if these people who look and act like guys (but are not) should use the ladies room

How should the ladies know which of the guy looking folks in their rr have no penis and are welcome.... and which of the guy looking folks in their rr do have a penis?
Just as I have no problem with ladies using our rr when there is a long line for their own rr....it seems for some reason the ladies are more picky about whom they toilet with
You may be a man... but until we see your penis, we cannot be sure

    Good points.
As for women separate sports, it was because on average, women could not compete with men.

Try reading what you quoted again. It begins with "for height..." Of the same height, a biological male will have longer legs and narrow hip bone structure. There are other inherent differences as well.

A psychiatrist maybe, not psychologists. Psychologists are social philosophers and all over the board.

Gender neutral bathrooms are for one at a time not multiple. The comparison is 100% irrelevant.

So a 5'9" male will have longer legs than a 5'9" female? Its just not true.

No, they can use the mens if they want!

They shouldn't know. They may feel uncomfortable but at the end of the day, nothing will happen to them. Anyway, I don't think transgender men would use the ladies room.
