Oh please, Golem acts like folks who resist taking vaccines are Trump's fault.....
Your narrative pretends like it but totally ignores the fact that vaccine skepticism long predates Trump AND you completely ignore all the lies and mis and dis info the medical industry has been caught in.[/QUOTE]
No wonder I cut it from your post. Because I have repeated dozens of times the same thing over and over: this is not about vaccine skepticism. It's about anti-vaxer propaganda!

At no time in the past has the media aligned with a former President, and with the complacency of that former President, have echoed such an orchestrated campaign of disinformation that has cost thousands of lives.

    Of course I require masks!

If you're preparing some sort of comment displaying you don't understand the difference between masks and vaccines, please save it...

I don't know who you're talking to but Trump has ALWAYS been anti-vax. His whole life. He just skirts around it now saying people have a choice because he knows anti-vaxxers exist (he was one until he wanted his name on the vaccines). And, now he's glomming onto that claiming it has something to do with not trusting Biden. They might not but that's not WHY they are anti-vax.

Only people not completely sane would take medical advice from ANY politician. People don't like taking responsibility for educating themselves or making decisions. That's why he's so appealing. He models "no personality responsibility" (and relies on his lap dogs to defend him) and never finishes anything (except food).

    He's dangerous on every level.

I think he's to blame. When the country needed a President to lead us to herd immunity, he took his shot in secret and completely abandoned the country. Even an anti-vaxer like Sean Hannity coming out (briefly) and suggesting that people get their shots produced an increase in right-wingers getting vaccinated. Imagine if we had had a real President at the start of the vaccine rollout.

100% agree. He got fired because of his lack of leadership (or modeling CDC recommendations) during the pandemic. No doubt on that.

My point is he didn't CREATE the anti-vax movement. It's not like he convinced these people it was a bad deal and they rejected it out of turn. They would reject it NO MATTER WHAT or who said what.

The target audience you are speaking about are the people on the fence because Trump is no longer President. I know three seniors that did not take the vax SOLELY for that reason and I'm sure there are many more out there.

It's kind of strange that he does NOT do that. He loves being in the spotlight and he would actually be CREDITED with helping bring more of the undecided to the vaccinated side. I don't trust him so it makes me worry why he is NOT doing that.

Well... they're not doing a very good job of "burying" it. Because I hear about it all the time.

I have no idea what those links are intended to prove. If you have a point to make, make it!

You don't hear it from the main news sources, which try to cover it up. The links are there to show you that most of the media is the lefty media. They all lean left. When you lean left you are a lefty media.

Nice to see you are a fan of mediabiasfactcheck.
You'll note of course that the first four of your left-center sources are rated for high factual reporting.

Now, how about all of these right and extreme sources, not a one has better than a mixed rating for factual reporting.

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news-bias/
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/one-america-news-network/
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/newsmax-bias-credibilty-reliability/
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-times/
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/daily-caller/
    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-gateway-pundit/

Apparently the factual reporting has a left-center bias, eh?

They all have a left bias. Yes, they report facts but they report the facts with a left bias. They do everything they can to promote the left and tear down the right. That's why they are biased and why they are lefty media. They don't report the news fairly. They report it with a left leaning agenda. And, I already know that the others you mention have a right bias. But, the majority of the MSM lean left and have a left bias and why they are the lefty media. The fact of the others just goes to prove that the site is fairly unbiased, and why most of the MSM lean left, because they are honest with their ratings. There are very few media which aren't biased, one way or the other so there is a lefty media and a righty media.

I'm not certain he's making it up but if I was to wager....

Like you pointed out, the math makes the chances of a middle aged husband and wife BOTH dying within such a short time of each other, rather improbable. I probably have better odds of buying any given scratch off ticket and winning at least 500$ .

Combine that with the obvious political motivation and lack of empathy in the OP.

I don't see how this leads to an assumption that someone's phone is out of battery.

Well you said, "this is the person closest to me who has died of Covid." That implies that you have at least one other close to you who has also died, but they weren't as close as this person.

Well sure, these "areas" which you refer to WOULD have alot of people who know multiple people who have died from COVID, but people outside of these areas are unlikely to know even one.

Again, that's a limited view since people can easily know many folks who don't live in their own immediate areas. Now, if we're talking close friends or immediate family, sure, it's much more unlikely. But people can be acquainted with hundreds, sometimes thousands of folks, and with the reach of social media it's easy to get at least important updates and info on them. Especially if they are sick and pass away. I personally know of at least 2, that come to mind immediately, that I know who have died from COVID. My wife's uncle, and my daughter's basketball coach.

1 first of all, sorry for your loss
2 I know someone that died yesterday of it and was vaccinated
3 I’m not saying the vaccine is bad, just saying we are all still screwed and should also take other precautions, like not going to crowded places and the usual common sense stuff since the vaccine is not a guarantee of safety

Which means you need to try harder.

And you assume that knowing two people who have died of Covid is a "statistical impossibility"

Your posts are getting weirder and weirder.

No, that is only your perception. It's just not true. (and I don't believe golems op at all).

Pretty easy actually. The probability of a healthy 40 year old dying from covid is extremely low. Two in the same house with + a deathly ill 17 YO? No f***ing way! Golem clearly thinks everyone on this board is an idiot.
I suppose one other option is that they were all morbidly obese with stage 3 cancer. Of course the omission of such details would be dishonest too.

    That's not true. Not everyone....

Now, I couldn't care less if you believe it or not. But I was curious to see if this was the first case in history, like you seem to claim...

From a quick google search, looks like it's not.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/covid-christmas-bubble-family-dead-b1793964.html
    https://www.11alive.com/article/new...orgia/85-63d131db-90e6-43d2-86b1-322032e3afbe
    https://www.newsweek.com/mans-entir...me-week-after-refusing-get-vaccinated-1617994
    https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/07...-died-covid-19-he-warns-virus-misinformation/

And they go on and on. And these were before the Delta variant. Which, from what I understand, is much deadlier.

So if you're holding back on vaccines because you believed what you preach... better think it over.

BTW, I didn't say the 17 year old was deathly ill. He had mild symptoms at that point. I only said he was worried.

I don't know about the forum but what we have seen statistically shows a very weak correlation between political party and vaccination. What correlation we do see is probably the result of cross correlation with better indicators such as age, education, geography, income, etc... Just look at most republican politicians like Trump, McConnell, Pence, etc... are vaccinated. Pretty much every on air personality at Foxnews is vaccinated. If political party was a good indicator you would see more of these people refusing the vaccine but the percentage is small. Look at the democrat party and see which sub groups are unvaccinated. Generally it is the lower income or lower education level voters. That probably explains why we do see a greater percentage of republicans not vaccinated. It is not because of the party they belong too but because of the demographics that make up the party. Remember Trump won the voter group without higher level education. He also attracts a lot of rural voters who probably live in lower concentrated conditions and are less likely to contract the virus. Party affiliation is NOT a good predictor but simply a side effect of the demographics.

To be successful and get elected they must speak to their demographics.

Did you think my healthy 40 yo qualification was there for fluff? By and large, young healthy people do not die from covid.
Fatback picked up on your total lack of empathy over the death of an employee, and one that you supposedly dismissed for lack of vaccine. Add in your political grand standing and you have the recipe for a story that is extremely unbelievable. I used to think you were honest, I don't anymore. And no I don't care if you care what I think of you. Your op was simply pathetic.
