Ive coached 10 seasons and 3 state championships. Saban owns one quality win against Urban in 2009. The 2010 team was bad because Newton got kicked out and Urban's health was failing him so he hadn't been involved in recent recruitment. Urban on the other hand has beaten Saban's ass like a redheaded stepchild with different 3 teams.

You do realize that stress and physical health are related. How to balance coaching with family and your own physical health is a major topic at any coaching conference. Its become more so of an issue with everyone seeing what happened to Urban at Florida. I'm sorry if you are just an ignorant typical SEC fan and dont understand this. But hey SEC SEC SEC! Its funny to see delusional Alabama fans clinging to Saban's win against an average 2010 Florida team. Urban however has destroyed top Alabama teams with 3 different teams even Mount West Utah. had Cam Newton not screwed up at UF.... I think UF wins 4 titles in 5 years under Meyer.... Honestly, had the OSU athletic director proactively self-imposed a bowl ban on the team that everyone knew was coming during the 6-6 year where they lost to UF in the bowl.... instead of having a bowl ban forced upon their undefeated season after Urban Meyer was hired.... undefeated OSU would have faced undefeated Notre Dame in the title game (and 1 loss bama wouldn't have been in the bowl against ND at all) I think OSU would have won that bowl, too.... giving Meyer 2 titles at OSU at this point. 4 at UF, 2 at OSU.... in 8 years.... YIKES I may not agree with his ETHICS... but Urban Meyer can damn sure recruit and hire the right assistant coaches. I met him right after UF hired him (but prior to his first season) The man almost had me convinced to take off my garnet and Gold and put on some Blue and orange. He's that charismatic.

no, it wasn't "Self imposed" at that point. But the prior year, when they were 6-6 and Tressul was suspended 6 games, and then quit.... everyone knew it was coming down sooner or later. I have no idea why the OSU AD didn't just say "this season (the 6-6 season where it all hit the fan) is shot.... lets bowl ban and whoever the new coach eventually is, gets a fresh start" They would have played for the title instead of Bama had they done that.

No, it isn't a fact. A fact would be if OSU had not got caught cheating, won the same games and been eligible. That would have made it a fact. BUT, since OSU was a cheating piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) and was caught doing it, they were not eligible. Just like Auburn in 1993. They didn't win it, because they weren't eligible for post season play. In terms of influence on the game both in offensive scheme and technique Meyer is one of if not the most influential coaches in the last quarter century. Yes I run Urban, Meyer, and Gator. Not that you know what the (*)(*)(*)(*) those plays are. I also run Auburn and Leech. Just admit it.
