It is you that makes up scripture that does not exist and denies the scripture that does. "King Sihon waging wars and that is why God punished him" I have never done this.

If you think that God is good for killing babies you are welcome to your opinion. I just do not share it.

Here's a question: How can the alleged crucifixion of the alleged demigod Jesus be considered a great sacrifice when the death is temporary and the one "dying" knows he's going to be resurrected in three days' time anyway? What is death when you're just brought back to life anyway, and when you know with all certainty that it will happen?

How can it be claimed that Yahweh gave his only begotten son for us, when in fact he never lost anything apart from three days of (terrestrial & corporeal) life and the days of trials, scourging and other such crap immediately preceding?

How does that crap redeem a select species of great ape from alleged sin?

He is said to favor those who mindlessly worship things that there is no proof of according to modern dogma.

    1. If you believe the Tanakh then God killed the babies when he drowned humanity. There is no indication that nations commited genocide on themselves by killing all their children.

    2. Satan is neither good or bad in Judaism. Christianity has made him the bad guy. HaSatan is Gods servant. Read your Jewish scripture.

    3.
    . Proof?
Would you let 2m people travel through your land with all their herds etc? They had already defeated the king of Arad, so would you not be suspicious of them? Perhaps he took courage from the example of the Edomites who refused to let Israel through, so Israel went round Edom.

    4.
You know little about the war with Germany in particular. To put it simply. It could easily be said that the powers who won WWI were partly to blame for WWII by the extremely harsh penalties on Germany after the war. This led to Hitlers rise. He fostered the Germans resentment and came to power on the back of it.

    5.
And you are living proof of that.

The usual criticism of posters, but nothing substantial to add to the subjects being discussed. Sitting on the fence called 'proof'.

My mind is compelled to believe it has to be on purpose. No on in the history of mankind could be so ignorant to misinterpret every post by everyone the poster has responded to. You wouldn't be calling the poster ignorant, would you?

In the flood story the wicked and evil people killed the babies and God punish them.
In another story the babies were saved because they were being converted, train, educated and prepared to become evil like their parents.

I only admitted it was Satan who was responsible you lied.

And where did I lie about your post?

There is nothing to make stuff up what is written in the Bible. King Sihon have waged wars against other tribes constantly. And King Sihon was who he was not because of God but he is what he is wicked, treacherous and evil. Maybe you should read more as to how King Sihon wage wars against other tribes such as the Moabites taking their lands.

I not only read but most important is to understand what is written in scriptures. God was against King Sihon because IMO King Sihon is Satan's chosen man. I have always misinterpret scriptures by turning everything against God.
If you think Satan is the good guy you are entitle to your opinion.

The crucifixion is consider a great sacrifice because God proof that the human body is just a conduit to eternal life and happiness. True life is after death to be with God.
God humble Himself to human to be with us to share our suffering and to resurrect to clearly proof to us that He is real and that life everlasting is not on this earth but in Heaven.
God redeem humans not not great ape.

There is every indication that nations were committing genocide Genesis 6:5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Judaism got it wrong just like they got it wrong when they refused to believe He is the Son of God.

yes I will have no problem letting 2m people pass through my land that is huge enough for them to pass through in peace.

Same can be said if the Allies would have lost WWI.

We Christians are the living proof of God's truth.

You are making things up that are not in scripture. Job's kids were not being trained to be Evil and there is nothing in the story of King Sihon that suggests this.

So what exactly are you suggesting that we believe, even though there is no scriptural support for your belief, that God kills babies to save them from their evil parents ?

    Lied about what ?

I did not say Satan was not responsible.

You claimed that I contradicted myself over Genesis 6 which is not true. I have always admitted that God sent the flood because the people were evil.

King Sihon was not waging war against the Israelites. The reason given in scripture about why he did not let Israelite pass through his land was because God made him stubborn.

I have posted this exact passage to you previously. Deuteronomy 2:30
If you are going to make claims about the Bible then post scripture to back up your claims.

I have never stated that Satan is a Good guy.

You seem to have a problem with the idea that God and Satan had a good relationship and acted together in the killing of Job's family.

Satan only acts according to what God allows. Satan abides by Gods request that he not harm Job. The first time when God and Satan speak again God agrees that Satan take everything Job has which includes killing Job's children but, Satan and God agree not to harm Job's person.

The second time Satan and God speak God does agree to harm Jobs person.

God and Satan have a respectful relationship.

    What a load of tripe.

Are you really that stupid? Nothing in your verse indicates that nations were committing genocide. A man/nation may be evil but there is no reason to say that they were genocidal. All the Tanakh tells us is that God wiped out most of humanity. Personally I believe its all a fairy story anyway.

Isn't it strange that God, in his wisdom and justice, gave Israel their beliefs, punished Israel when they got things wrong, but never mentioned that their view of HaSatan was wrong. Perhaps Christianity has it wrong?
Then again, the idea of a Messiah is a Jewish one. Perhaps they got that wrong and a Messiah was never God's intention.
And, of course there's the matter of the 10 commandments. Exodus 20:1-2. No mention of the Gentiles. 'I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.....' 'Your' being the Jews.

On what grounds do you say that?

    .

You're entitled to your opinion, even if you are wrong.

If you desire to call it a "fence", that is fine with me. On the other side of that coin, it must be the same 'fence' upon which non-theists sit but they refer to it as 'evidence' or 'logic' or other sundry terms that might be used to describe that fence. At any rate, that fence which you call 'proof' does require you and others to present either 'evidence' or 'argument' that will compel my mind to accept what you and others present as true.

Well, it pleases me that you are entertained as opposed to being offended. Now back to the subject... What was it you complained about???? Oh yes! The unnecessary use of all capital letters. Hello pot.

Did I say the poster was "ignorant"? No? Then why are you misinterpreting what I said? Most people have a mind that is compelled to accept most anything.

No, it's merely something you MADE UP....to try to clear God of a charge of infanticide.

Plus, as has been noted already....your own "logic" fails you.

If the "wicked people" were "sacrificing" or "eating" all the children?.....then they would have de-populated themselves out of existance and there would have been no need for a Flood, would there??? :)

Sin deserves punishment. God hates cruelty, violence, treachery, all things that knowingly (not accidentally) destroy people, community, trust, joy, innocence, and beauty. We humans simply could not exist without large amounts of decency, loyalty, and social justice.

Any decent human being should be outraged at crimes against the poor, child abuse crimes, domestic violence, crimes against the elderly, at institutional hypocrisy that remains arrogantly insensivtive to the real needs of real people.

Moral outrage by moral agents at moral atrocities is a mark of moral authenticity and so why would we expect God the Author of moral agents to be less moral than we?

So in the after-life God is going to punish those who don't believe in Him, who are defiant and unrepentant of their sins, who have rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior.

If Jesus didn't pay for our sins then we would all be punished for our sins....that's right all of us and deservedly so!

So we believers love our Lord Savior Jesus Christ with all our hearts and souls, for He took the punishment for us that we deserve, Jesus being sinless didn't deserve that punishment He took on the cross. But His sacrifice was the payment for the sins of mankind.

God wants everyone to come to Him. Scripture tells us that, "For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 NLT

Wow! such obscene language...isn't it a violation of forum rules? Again you're misinterpreting what you read and reacting unnecessarily in a foul bellicose manner.

I don't see anywhere where I explicitly was refering to the Ghandi's of the world or the Buddah's of the world. What are you talking about?
