That is where your presumptuous nature has led you wrong. I don't believe in God because of reading the Bible. I believe in God because of the manner in which He acts in my life. Therefore, you are not as smart as you think you are. I don't lean on presumptions.

Let me see now. Your side of the fence has gone through empirical evidence (which would not cut the mustard), then your side of the fence moved on to 'material evidence' (which still would not cut the mustard), now you want to make a try at "real evidence". How do you define 'real'? What are the attributes of 'real'? What makes something real?

 

I do believe that the expression I used in describing my relationship with God was "a servant of God". Well, servants don't get told everything that is to be known about the Master or about the Masters estate... however servants are told what to do and when to do it and how to do it. So, if I as a servant am not told either when, where, or how to reveal something, then something won't get revealed. you lose again.

 

That is because you are attempting to use that man made tool called 'logic' to comprehend 'why' God has done what He has done. That process you (mortal man) are attempting to perform is like a snail attempting to do brain surgery using two sticks as scapels.

it's a never ending source of amused amazement that if I walk into a 'happy clapper' church on a sunday morning, I'll be greeted warmly and encouraged to ask 'as many questions as you have - we're here to answer all your questions!', yet when I do actually ask a question, I get instant shut down, or bizarrely aggressive repetitions of platitudes along the lines of god's mysterious ways.

really, if a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing church won't answer our questions, and you guys won't, who the hell will? maybe the catholics.

they're far less precious, I find. and don't think the sky will fall if they discuss evolution.

In an environment such as this, I certainly do believe He would give approval. "Don't cast your pearls before the swine..."

Then perhaps you should attend a Christian church as opposed to a "happy clapper" church, and ask questions there instead of asking them here. This is not a church, per se', and the aggression shown here is more from the non-theist side of the fence.

Again, a "(*)(*)(*)(*)ing church" (whatever kind that is) is not a Christian church. As for the Christians here not answering questions... most of the questions asked here by non-theists are merely bait on a hook.

Then give it a shot at some of those who profess Catholicism.

Why do you need the dictionaries when the words are in obvious use? Many words today, as you should know, are derivatives of older words which are still valid as part of the language - well English anyway - even if not used.

Both you and I are wasting our times discussing ANYTHING with him as he has no interest of debating or discussing issues and topics either in a logical or honorable manner.

I really don't mind when a member might have apposing views and beliefs than I do but I have ALWAYS DONE MY BEST to respect another members Faith and Views unless they are criminal or dangerous to others.

And there are some members out there who might be Extremely Religious but they do not attempt to ignore realities as a person of true and strong Faith will simply say....Yes....I understand that Evolution can now be stated to be a REALITY and I understand this conflicts with Old Testament stories but I have FAITH that GOD created the Universe and Life within it using both Quantum and Biological Evolution.

As such people of LOGIC AND FAITH understand that SCIENTIFIC AND MATHEMATICAL REALITIES DO NOT CONFLICT IN A PERSONS BELIEF IN GOD.

Unfortunately with Incorp no matter how much evidence and PROOF you show him will ALWAYS be met with his standard reply.....YOU HAVE NOT POSTED ANYTHING THAT WOULD MAKE BE BELIEVE WHAT YOU SAID.

Such disingenuous replied posts by ANYONE hurt the value and nature of this forum.
