There is no "either" about it. You have been defending baby killing.

Perhaps you have a good reason but we can not even get to that reason until you first admit to yourself what you have been doing.

So here you are justifying the killing of babies on the basis that they will be improperly raised by the Amalekites.

Why couldn't the Israelites raise them (especially the male babies because they always need more male soldiers).

Who gets to determine what is proper and what is not ? Define what you mean by "improperly raised" and back any claims you make up with scriptural or historical evidence.

Should we start a program today to kill babies who we feel are not being properly raised ?

Just one made up story after another. Have to keep going back to remember what he said originally because he can not keep on point or maintain any continuity in his claims.

No, they aren't. They have nothing to do with science. They're archaeological studies.

You have still been unable to name one SCIENTIFIC discovery that was inspired by the Bible.

One, it doesn't prove the existence of God. It's a book. Two, that is totally unrelated to your previous claim that the Bible was the only source of information on preexisting nations.

So are you admitting that Israel was the aggressor, then? It wasn't the Amalekites that went into the Israelites territory, it was the other way around.

Because collective punishment is morally wrong.

And IMO their death is on the deity and people who actually killed them, according to the Bible.

The First Commandment directed the Israelites to kill everyone they came into contact with. That story just shows how they followed the First Commandment.
    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+34:12-16&version=TLB

All of the genocide stories demonstrate the application of the First Commandment in action.

The Israeli approached and King Sihon gathered his armies to wage war against the Hebrews just like King Sihon had waged war against the Moabs and other tribes.

    Numbers 21:
23 But Sihon would not let Israel pass through his territory. He mustered his entire army and marched out into the wilderness against Israel. When he reached Jahaz, he fought with Israel.
24 Israel, however, put him to the sword and took over his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, but only as far as the Ammonites, because their border was fortified.
25 Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites and occupied them, including Heshbon and all its surrounding settlements.
26 Heshbon was the city of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab and had taken from him all his land as far as the Arnon.

Yes, the Israelites INVADED somebody else's territory. If some large wandering group of people came into the United States trying to take it over, do you think that we'd just sit by and not fight back?

Being on the side of the Amalekites is not good.

Your false claim that God is not good.

What was the justification of the way ancient civilization wage war or their way of life based on their standard killing babies is part of their way of waging wars do you know the answer?

King Sihon gathered his armies against the Hebrews.

By claiming God is not good.

    The Bible said it clearly;

King Sihon stole the land from the Moabites. The Israelite originally have no plan to settle until King Sihon gathered his army to destroy the outnumbered Israelite.

Just like the Pharaoh, King Sihon was the same have no intention to allow the Israeli pass in peace.

There is nothing to avoid the historical Bible has wrote it down God instructed the Israelite to destroy the Amalekite. You are trying very hard to justify or delusional yourself that a thousand year old ancient warfare should not include baby killing when we all know that all major civilization not just the Israelite they kill babies much worse than what Israeli did :(
Today since the time of Christ, God has never gave any instruction to kill babies in fact Christian today are in the forefront in saving and giving life importance we are Pro Life.

The Amalekite have relentessly harassed and showed no mercy in attacking the Hebrews since they came out of Egypt.

How is being against the Amalekites wrong?
We are all against baby killing especially Christians. maybe if you can go back thousand of years back during the Amalekite time you would be able to educated the Amalekite to be modern humans stop attacking other tribes and the Hebrews.

It makes a lot of difference it allow us to fully understand the history behind it. Are you not interested in the whole truth and story?
God did not instruct many nations to be destroyed not the Egyptians, Assyrians, Moabites, Ismaelite, Babylonian, Persian, Greeks, Romans or Nazi. Only a very few and if you are really interested to know why then research the other supporting biblical manuscripts.

That is the simplest accusation you can throw on God not allowing God to explain why or to accept explanation.
And why are you stacked in this thousand year old ancient life style everyone during that time kill babies? When was the last time God has ordered baby killing?

If there is no "either" then you are using babies as human shield.

I have no problem admitting what the Bible and its history has recorded. Why can't you admit the historicity of the Bible? Why must you kept on discrediting God and history?

That can be part of the argument. Why do you think today's secular government will take away babies and children from their evil parents?

Do you want an answer outside the Bible? If not, the Bible did not say. If you want an answer outside of the Bible I can discuss with you just let me know.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

It is called abortion, infanticide, or mercy killing all being promoted not by the church.
Should we take away children and babies from their homes that you think are not being properly raised?

Archaeology is a form of science.

I have you just can not accept them so I will share again SCIENTIFIC discovery that was inspired by the Bible example: Jericho, Dead Sea Scrolls, Jesus tomb, Sodom, Gomorrah, Red Sea parting by Moses etc.

Books are the strongest evidence of facts and history. The Bible gave modern scholars, political leaders a place to start in developing modern constitution, history and science.

The Amelakites have relentlessly attacked the Hebrews since the Exodus.

What was the moral standard in ancient times?

    According to the Bible?
If the parents train and teach their children to be evil you are saying that is not their fault?

Sorry but you are grossly in error, there is no where in the New Testament that advises Christians to hate/kill those who worship other or no gods. Obviously you haven't read the New Testament and if you did then obviously you have misinterpreted it...misinterpretation is a common issue among many non-believers.

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace.

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said, "You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."---Matthew 5:43-48 NLT

So with a Christian it's definitely LOVE!

What was thousand of years ago is not the same today. Human civilization has developed since that time the time when Israelite were on their journey to establish their nation just like many other tribes were doing. Today nations laws and moral standard has developed and established to govern and regulate nation building we have witnessed the rise of independent Bosnia, Kurdistan, Croatia, Lithuania, Serbia, etc.

So you admit that what God commanded the Israelites to do is not moral to our modern day sensibilities.

It's a social science like economics or psychology. I'm talking about the natural sciences: chemistry, biology, physics. Has the Bible directly led to a discovery in one of these areas?

You need to learn how to read. Books can't be the strongest form of evidence for people if you can't even read what I'm saying.

Because they were IN THEIR TERRITORY.

Do God's morals change? God was the one that ordered the genocide against the Amalekites.

Babies were not evil. We're talking about the slaughtering of children, here. The parents are at fault for teaching bad morals, the Israelites and God are at fault for killing innocent babies.

No they're not. It is Christianity that says they are. Judaism does not accept Jesus as the Son of God. Because a few followed Jesus does not make Christianity part of Jewish History.

Christianity misinterpreted the Tanakh and formed its own beliefs. Jesus often quoted from the Tanakh because he was a Jew and clearly stated that he had come to his own people. Who Were? The Jews!!!!!!!

Hilarious. God didn't instruct the Israelites to destroy most of the above because they didn't have the faintest possibility of defeating them.

On top of that the Ishmaelites weren't around by then. They had intermarried with the Midianites long before Israel came into being, and the Nazi's were 3,500 years in the future.

History is not your strong point, is it.

an innocent child always has the potential to go either way, and you know this to be true. and had these kids been adopted (instead of killed) by the isrealites they would have been far more likely to abandon 'evil'. less blood on your god's hands, also.

the question, once again, was why don't you believe in the bhagavad gita?

According to Christianity we are born in sin. Not a good start to life for a child without any understanding at all. We are all condemned. The idea of age of responsibility comes much later.

Now I prefer the Jewish view. We are born innocent. We have the choice later which way to go.
