So the Bible is the word of the devil because it contains a lot of lies.

And I have free speech to point out that claiming people choose to go to hell makes as much sense as saying dead mugging victims actually committed suicide.

There are many false beliefs in your post. Many people twist scripture to fit their agenda. I just put my faith in Jesus and trust him. If you'd like to discuss your points, please take them one at a time and I'll walk you through it.

Because their position is wildly illogical. Being coerced is not a choice. God send people who won't bow and scrape to hell.

Perhaps you should talk to a professional about it to find out why what some people believe bothers you so much. Just trying to help.

It doesn't bother you when people blatantly lie?

Good article. One problem. Abraham did not exist. Paul is relying on what he has been taught as a lad and in his Pharisaic training. Just as Jesus did. You believe it because you have been told that the Bible is true, and never bothered to check for yourself. There are so many impossibilities, errors and obvious misinterpretation that people have never explored.

Oh me, Abraham didn't exist. LOL. Makes everything so easy, huh. Too funny.

Sure you did. In post #715 you stated:
In post # 721 you stated:
It's very clear that your God is the Christian God. I's very clear that your Holy Scripture is the Christian Bible.

Here, again, is what Einstein actually wrote about your god and your bible.

    http://deadstate.org/think-einstein-...wrote-in-1954/
So, no, your beliefs and Einstein's beliefs are not "pretty much the same".

Einstein never said he believed in the Christian GOD. Einstein and I do agree that there is a spirit and Intelligence that runs the universe and dwarfs anything of man's intelligence. Hope that's clear now.

Noah had, at most 120 to build the ark. Do you really believe that animals migrated from continent to continent in 120 years?

Where does the bible state they were "lifted up above the earth, above the waters,"?

The imagination of the thoughts of three year old's hearts was evil. Hmmm.

In other words, god recognized horrifically killing everyone probably wasn't the best way to do things.

    See above.

I actually just had a lengthy conversation with a JW who cold called me. The conversation centered around:
    Leviticus: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death;
(It was the first thing that popped up when I googled god bible kill)

He came back with an NT comment about Jesus' saying homosexuals can't get to heaven. That the NT was a newer way of god doing things.

I asked why god changed his mind. He insisted god didn't, Jesus just washed away blah, blah & blah.

I guess we could address the same question to Maxwell. If the NT overrides the OT, isn't that just indicative of god changing his mind?

First of all Jehovah Witnesses ate not Christians, but a pseudo-Christian cult.

Regarding the difference between the Old and New Testament, God didn't change his mind. The law was fulfilled so now God has a new relationship with man. The book of Hebrews explains it beautifully and I recommend a thorough study of that book.

That's your mistake. I never try to mislead, but do my best to be precise, direct, and clear.

That proves you've never studied, other than the Bible. According to the Bible Abraham lived 400+ years before the Hittites ever came into the area. So how could he have bought a tomb from them. They were never in Machpelah. They were stopped well short by the Egyptians. So how could they sell land to Abraham.
Moses puts Abraham in UR of the Chaldees. The Chaldeans were 1000 years later than Abraham, and several hundred years later than Moses. So how could Moses know of the Chaldeans. At the supposed time of the supposed Abraham Ur was under the Sumerian/Akkadians and, shortly after, destroyed.
It's also doubtful that the supposed Abraham could would have ever met the Pharaoh. Depending on the actual time Pharaohs were rulinbg from the South of Egypt. Abraham could not have gone that far South - if you know anything at all about the times.
Egyptian history and other histories, Archaeology show no evidence of Moses, an Exodus or of an invasion of Palestine. No evidence of the Amalekites anywhere in History (except in the Bible). Jericho was destroyed long before any supposed Joshua reached it. In fact it has been destroyed several times in its 9000 years of history. Several times by earthquakes, as it's in an old earthquake belt. The city of Ai had been in ruins for a 1000 years so it could not have been Ai the supposed Joshua conquered. Several other places have been put forward, but the Bible says it was Ai.

If you studied outside the Bible you would see many impossibilities and exaggerations in the Bible.

I find it interesting, but then I don't accept what others tell me. I research.

What's amazing to me is that any passionate Christian could FAIL to study.
