What's funnier is that some people actually get taken in by their scams.

Did you just really quote Albert Einstein? WanRen, you do know that he called the idea of a personal Christian God childish, right? He was a pantheist.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, he didn't exactly mention a Christian God but here is what he said exactly:

"I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being."

Why is her biased opinion any less valid than your biased opinion?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any person who makes a claim that the Holy Bible includes fairy tales is basically presenting a biased opinion.

I have not made any claims that the Holy Bible includes fairy tales and so what are my biased opinions concerning the Holy Bible? If I believe whatever is written in the Holy Bible is true then I don't have any biased opinions regarding the Holy Bible.

However if there is someone who believes in Peter Pan as being real was to confront me regarding Peter Pan, I would tell that person Peter Pan is just a fairy tale and I would basically be presenting a biased opinion to that person who regards Peter Pan to be real.

But, in your view, if a book was inspired by peter pan, about peter pan, then it is no longer a biased opinion but fact to the reader if one believes it to be true.
    Thanks for the clarification.
Not biased if one believes it.
Biased if one doesn't believe it. It being whatever one wants it to be.

Einstein can never be used again by you to justify your faith.
This quote is an apt summation of my position, so I presume you will start quoting me as well.

Funnier still is it is a book written over 4 centuries after the death of Christ, by men. And their interpretation of history dating 400 years prior. But it is the "word of god"

Quote Posted by Giftedon on pg. 40 #400 of Part 3

Fear of eternal punishment has a powerful subconscious effect on the conscious. Taught to children, or even adults, can exert a powerful influence on the mind.

When encountering a idea that conflicts with ones religious beliefs the subconscious is paralysed by fear. This is why the conscious will accept the most ridiculous and irrational explanations because the mind can not handle "bad idea". It is a coping mechanism.

Questioning Gods existence is scary because the fear of eternal punishment is scary. What could be more terrifying than eternal torture ?

This is perhaps the most powerful mind control technique ever invented.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't speak for all believers but the one thing that is a powerful influence on my mind is the thought and belief that I will go to paradise (Heaven) for all eternity and live happily ever after with our Lord and everyone else who are saved. Now that is the "greatest idea ever". Is there anything that can top that?...no there isn't!

And so the fear of eternal punishment doesn't apply to me, so why should I fear it? It only applies to people who are not saved, to people such as yourself who will not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior. For we are all sinners and every single one of us are in need of a Savior!

I want to be in Heaven with our Lord Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity!...oh yes indeed!

    Why can't people read?
The quote says you fear ideas that conflict with your religious beliefs, not that you fear eternal punishment.
You should be eternally grateful that there isn't a basic reading comprehension test to get into heaven.
    You would burn forever!

Does god welcome those who deliberately spread falsehoods about his works?
    Better watch out.
