Only if you dont know what the word plausible means, and are incapable of basic thinking.

It is feasible that the flood story could have originated with that event.

The "world wide flood" is a fictitious event, as your two heros and all other geologists can* tell you.

The word is not plausible, it is "specious'.

*not that you'd understand or accept what they told you

There is another version to add to the countless other versions of what "really happened".

A excellent illustration of my observation that fundies display no conscience about spreading the most egregious falsehoods.

Your statement is not true and so once again it's invalid. Of course I know what plausible means, it means for something to be seemingly true or acceptable. My 2 marine geologists buddies, Mr. Ryan and Mr. Pittman discovery also implied that the Great Flood is not utterly false.

The reality is there is still an on going debate concerning the Great Flood of Noah, there is nothing conclusive and so I wouldn't make bold statements without conclusive evidence that the Great Flood of Noah really happened or really didn't happen, the jury is still out on this one.

However it still won't stop me in saying I believe the Great Flood did happen, I have faith it did happen. When the Book of Genesis tells us after the Great Flood there were only 8 people alive on the entire earth which all were members of Noah's family it has to be because the Great Flood flooded the entire earth killing everyone in its destructive path.

Noah's family of 8 survived because they were on the Ark that God told them to build, to ensure the survival of the human race along with the animals who were on the Ark with Noah and his family.

God wiped out the wicked sinful human race and everyone knows that people can indeed be wicked and sinful as hell. Turn on the TV news, you'll see all the wickedness displayed by people daily.

8 people is just what it is...8 people, it wasn't 8,000 people or 8 million people but just 8 people along with some animals that survived the Great Flood. Scripture is very clear about this and Scripture is from the Word of God.

And if you had those feelings and grew up in Egypt you would have picked up a Qu'ran and become a Muslim.
    So arbitrary.

Not necessarily, there are Christians living in Egypt, as a matter of fact there are Christians living in all parts of the world including in communist countries whom are predominantly atheists.

Who but a follower of the Dark One believes lies about the one they call God?

God told us He did flood the earth. With God nothing is impossible after all He created everything for He is the Creator!

Not so. Christians archaeologists in general do not believe the flood story.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then they are not true Christians. The Great Flood story was told to Moses by God and so if they don't believe the Great Flood story they are essentially labeling God as a liar. That is so so sinful, that is blasphemus!

The Noah's Ark tale is based on an earlier Sumerian myth that grew out of a 4 day flood on the Euphrates River in 2900 BC... and there is hard evidence for that.

God didn't tell Moses about the flood and Moses didn't write the Pentateuch.

Do you know what didactic literature means?

Just like Jesus is based on the earlier myth of Mithras, since they are so incredibly similar.

What is the resurrection tale based on?

Some say Osiris.... but there was a widespread belief in reincarnation in Palestine and the Levant.

Too bad there's not some omnipotent being who could use his magic superpowers to clear all this up for us....if he loved us, that is. He doesn't clear it up (I would) so he's probably not real. Would YOU clear it up, if you had those powers? I'm sure you would, as I'm impressed that you seem to try to educate in your posts just about as much as any poster, I've noticed. Good work.

Sorry...but you are wrong. God did indeed tell Moses about the Great Flood and Moses wrote everything down as we see written in Scripture, furthermore Moses is indeed the author of the first 5 books of the Holy Bible....write this down in your notebook!

Sorry but you are wrong. The Great Flood of Noah is a true story so of course it is not based on an earlier Sumerian myth. What you believe is to be true is actually the myth...write this down on your notebook!

No, your presumption is a lie. That being the bible is literal and 100% historically accurate. Tuff to understand, I know. I know many folks just like you. I was one once.

So Moses wrote the scene about his own death and burial? That guy was something else!
