Democrats SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT RATHER THAN SECURE THE BORDER.

And now yet another American is gunned down by one of the Democrats Sanctuary Killers. That 47% won't rise, but the number blaming the Democrats certainly will.

Chuck Schumer speaks with forked tongue on illegal immigration

Hypocrisy is the New York Senate minority leader's middle name. Get a load of what he was saying in 2009 on the need for a border wall, that same border wall he's shutting down the government in order to block.

    Chuck Schumer in 2009:

    -Americans don't like illegal immigration

    -"Illegal immigration is wrong"

-People illegally in the U.S. are "illegal aliens," not "undocumented"

-Border fence made the southern border "far more secure...created a significant barrier to illegal immigration"

That chart shows just how far ahead the stock markets got.
And a very big fall could happen to the long term trend line and still be considered a long term bull market. But a mid term bear market.
That was some huge run from 09 to 17.\

Although, for a better picture of the trend, one should look at a logarithmic scale.

Trump Would Be ‘Proud’ to Shut Down Government

December 11, 2018 at 12:34 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 258 Comments

Prior to his meeting with Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer, President Trump brought reporters into the Oval Office and — in an extended, heated exchange before the cameras — clashed with the two Democratic leaders over congressional support for funding for his border wall, declaring that he is “proud to shut down the government for border security,” Axios reports.

And tRUMP said years ago, that if the gov't shuts down, it's the prez fault. He is the leader, he needs to bring people together.

DEMOCRATS WOULD RATHER SHUTDOWN THE GOVERNMENT THAN SECURE THE BORDER.

It's as simple as that, and everyone knows it. Look at how hard you guys are already backpedaling.

    You fool no one!

    Ladders for criminals

The counter-campaign to Brian Kolfage's 18-million-dollar "build the wall" GoFundMe initiative is quite the liberal doozy.

    Border is secure.
The wall cost/benefit ratio isn't there.
The migrants did not waltz into our country. The border walls stopped them.
We have very adequate wall security now.

I may be wrong, but if memory serves me right, at the meeting between Schumer, Pelosi and Trump, the democrats offered a compromise of 1 billion or so. I'm not sure of that, but I think they did. If so, it was time or is time for Trump to make his counter offer. That is how the game of give and take is played.

I've asked myself what a compromise would look like. 2.5 billion would be right down the middle. But as you stated, the democrats winning back the house gives them higher cards. 2 billion perhaps. But would either side accept a compromise? Trump, probably not. Not at least yet.

As for blame, Democrats blame Trump, Republicans blame Schumer and Pelosi. That goes without saying in any government shutdown. Each party blaming the other. The question then becomes whom are those in the middle, that don't belong or affiliate with either party, what is their perspective as to whom shoulders the blame? We know them as independents, swing voters more or less. 38% of independents put the blame on Trump, 31% on the democrats, i.e. Pelosi and Schumer, 6% on the GOP congress critters. But 25% state they're not sure or just don't give a hoot. I was disappointed YouGov didn't include both sides as an answer option in their question. that is generally where most non-partisan's or the non-affiliated come down on these things.

But I do agree, it starts with Trump and if I remember right, the democrats offered a compromise, then it is right back in Trump's backyard. Others may not view it that way, but I do. Politics is always a matter of perspectives, truth and facts get lost and aren't necessary in one's developing their perspective on things political.

    Facts:

    1. 88.7% of all statistics are made up
    2. Propaganda from the media is very effective
    3. When the 'government shutdown!' occurred under Obama, it was the 'obstructionist republican congress!' fault. Now it is the president's.
    4. Media blame is always directed toward conservatives, Republicans, and Trump, regardless of where the real blame lies.
    5. At least 47% of Americans are indoctrinated by progressive run institutions.. likely more.
    6. The media, the press, entertainment, academia, govt agencies, and most forums are controlled by progressive indoctrinees.

I'm surprised the percentage isn't higher...

You have absolutely nothing to fear, Robert. The Social Security trust funds are financial accounts in the U.S. Treasury. Your SS benefits are not things that are simply handed to you by either Republicans or Democrats. It is a benefit you have EARNED by being forced to pay into it your entire working life!

The deep-state government bureaucracy may be made up of a bunch of fundamentally unethical slimebags, but they've learned one thing very well -- DON'T F*CK WITH BABY BOOMERS. Baby Boomers were the last decently-educated generation this country produced, and being keenly aware of how the REAL world works, Baby Boomers vote every chance we get! Any government slimebag who thinks he's going to sh*t on Baby Boomers is committing political suicide, on the spot....

Where do you get your made up facts? You may be right that most of them are Democrats because they get them good livable wages and benefits so they’re smart They should’ve gone in for coal morning because that’s going to be the next big market. Lol

If you are a member of "The Greatest Generation", I salute you. You were, and remain, truly phenomenal, and we stand in your shadows -- all of us. But, yes, as I'm certain you know (for you were possibly even better-educated in many ways than your Baby Boomer children), your EARNED Social Security money is as safe as anything can be in this country.

As far as this big, hooptie "shutdown" thing goes... well, so far I haven't been impacted in the slightest. I've got my doubts that I ever would be.... It's been said that only those in "essential" jobs continue to work. If the others are in "non-essential" jobs, then what the hell are we paying THEM for anyway...?! :omg:

Explain to me how it can be politically good for Trump to blame the Democrats for the Shutdown when he promised more than 200 times that the Mexicans would pay for the Wall?

    Everything is computerized today.

Just like the big sell off on Wall Street the other day. It was computers who were selling, not real people.

The only thing worse than ignorance is stupidity. You, appear to be a victim of the former. Do yourself a favor and read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Security_Trust_Fund .

The synopsis? Neither Republican slimebags nor Democrat slimebags can have the slightest effect on a person being able to collect his/her EARNED Social Security benefit. Don't go on embarrassing yourself over this.... :icon_picknose:

I worked for the federal government for many years. While it is true that some workers were careerists who enjoyed the luxury of working in sinecures, I saw the same thing and worse in my years of working in private industry. I have no evidence to make a claim that Dems were any worse than Republicans. Do you or are you just attacking Dems like so many righties do on this forum?

Jew hating Julian Assange of wikileaks spread that rumor along with the myth that the rest of their arms came from Obama. Many on the far right believe that nonsense without seeing or presenting any evidence.
