No. It was not melted. It was oxidize in layers, probably buried in the pile with one end sticking into a pocket of fire. In a hot environment with steam present, it will create a lot of black oxide. Try again.

Well, freaking DUH! We never suggested it. We simply pointed out that over 1000F, steel loses ability to support a load.Burden of proof is on you that it should not.

What you see does not support what you think happened. That is not an explosive squib. The puff of mist or smoke or whatever is of varied density from one split second to another. It builds up and it slows done. NOT Compatable with an explosive squib, which would spring suddenly into being at super-sonic speads.

You still have not shown how a man could have been standing in the way of such a blast from that location.
