Utter tosh Liwin. Successive UK governments ripped off the UK pension pot to pay for other things. It caused a huge story at the time and has led to increasing the pensionable age from 65 to 67 and eventually higher. Brits were told they would have to take care of themselves via private pension schemes. Then we have such pleasant corporate bosses as the late Robert Maxwell, who stole all of the pension monies of his employees to try to stave off his companies from bankruptcy. One might say he deserved to get bumped off for that, but it seems the his betrayal as a spook caused the US and/or UK to drown him instead.

Meanwhile the UK government remains busy stealing pension right from public sector workers as they change the rules on final salary pension schemes to workers who have spent decades paying into pension schemes which will now be substantially reduced causing hardship to pensioners - because governments can't keep their promises and are not inclined to even if they could.

There are many examples of this in the UK. I can post a variety of sources and links if you like? So off with you and your Putin is a theiving tyrant angle please. All governments around the world are corrupt, crooked and weasels. And all politicians line their pockets from the public purse or as a consequence of the power they hold while in office - and collect payola when they leave office and join the private sector as consultants.

Aye, I do. I blame the US for organizing the coup in Ukraine. The facts are clear on this. And I prefer facts to blinkered rhetoric.

The people of Ukraine organized the coup, the US was merely supportive of it.

Interpretation is a terrible thing isn't it. Deceptions rely on them.

Yes, Ukrainian's carried the coup out, obviously.

The US wanted it to happen, so it happened.

The US wants "coups" in China, Muscovy, North Korea and other Asiatic countries with there despotic regimes, why the "coups" have happened there?

It's fallacious reasoning, Litwin. One thing does not equal the other.

We still might see US led coup's elsewhere. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. They have a very long history of covert actions around the world and have been engaging in regime change since the 1950's. Fortunately, not even the worst tyrannies get everything they want. And sadly they don't always get what they deserve either.

There is a little inaccuracy. People if Ukraine did not organize the coup. They have just supported it with hopes for better life. As usual such hopes were raised by fairy tales of politicians.

But organization of the coup needs money. Do you have any idea where from has money come?

If you may argue the arguments listed below the answer on your question is "no".

    1. GDP per capita of Russia is four times more than GDP per capita of Ukraine.
    2. Russia has more than USD 300 bln of reserves. Such reserves may cover half of Russian international debt (corporate debts + government debts).
    3. Average salary in Russia is more than 2 times higher in comparison with Ukraine.
    4. Russia has insignificant government debt in comparison with Ukraine.

Putin is a gambler but his government knows the odds. Toppling Saudi would lead to a decade of chaos from Iran to Cairo, followed by a real Sunni Caliphate. Israel would be a mere fart in that typhoon. It ain't gonna happen though.
