If that was the case, you would not object for the J6 committee to continue. Remember, McCarthy and you guys CHOSE not to participate, and now have this revenge on your mind.
Yes, but you can't say we "clobbered the other team" if you won by one run at the bottom of the ninth with two outs.
The J6 committee has had more than a year to get it right. If they fail to make it happen in that time, then it is on them. It was a political stunt and you know it.
In the end it really doesn't matter. Maybe the hype about the big Red Wave was a democrat ploy to get more Republicans to stay home and not vote.
I would have preferred a blue ribbon commission with equal partners by the Dems and the GOP, but McCarthy, and Trump, rejected that idea. So, we have the current January 6th committee and McCarthy tried to put very pro-Trump Republicans on the committee that would have turned it into a circus and not get things done. With the limited time that they had, and the limited cooperation by certain persons on what people were thinking and doing up to that fateful day, the day of that fateful day, and afterward, I think they have enough evidence to know who did what, when, where, and why, but not the big man himself.
I think most Republicans are still in too much shock to say something that stupid. But at least, there wasn't a red wave of election results deniers like the democrats were predicting. At least I didn't hear them all talking about the election being stolen from them. In fact most accepted their defeats. Even Stacy Abrams did this time. She's still denying she lost the previous one though.
We already have threads by very pro trump posters who are inferring that very same thing. Trump did that very same thing when he made his announcement to run for 2024.
You do realize the House can block any legislation from going anywhere? The Senate is just one chamber of Congress.
You do realize Republicans wanted the senate to stop Biden from appointing Federal judges. I'm expecting Biden to push out a record number of judges the next 2 years. Is that a trophy to the GOP?
I must admit I didn't watch Trump's speech announcing his candidacy. Therefore, because you did I can't dispute what you think you heard him say. However, I have heard from others saying he managed to steer clear of the sour grapes and focused on the path ahead.
Trump did it when he had the Senate. Wouldn't expect anything less from Biden. That is what he has done for the last 2 years.
Thank you. I did finally find it, as I noted in my post above. This is good news... as far as it goes. It doesn't go NEARLY far enough, but I guess anything is better than it was with Democrats stinking up the White House and BOTH the House and the Senate. Still, now, Biden will resort to doing what Obama did during his last term in office -- rule like a dictator, by Executive Orders, Decrees, Proclamations, Dicta, and other types of commands. Consider: Even if we got rid of Biden, take a good look at what we would be stuck with afterwards, for two long, tortured, miserable years.... . "America is a country.... But I'm going to be working to change that...."
I expected anything from 223-230 prior to last Tuesday. A majority is acceptable. I hoped for 51 in the Senate and still am hoping for 50.
Aren't the democrats still complaining about the record number of federal judges Trump appointed? But better than that he appointed three SC Justices that trump (pun intended) federal judges. You guys will be lucky if Biden can remember where he put his Depends.
SCOTUS only hears a handful of cases. There are hundreds of cases being heard by Biden judges, and only a certain number of those get appealed to SCOTUS.
