How can a "fetus" at 22 weeks be delivered by c-section and survive in the ICU? It's still not a "person" at this point right b/c the baby hasn't fully developed right? Hence the need for ICU.

When a foetus has been born alive, it becomes a person.
A separate human entity in the same way as all people, irrespective of its gestational age.

 

It is a person by law as soon as it is born. A 22 week old fetus that has been born is now a baby and a person. What is so hard about that to understand?

Btw, rarely does a baby born so early survive, and if they do, they are usually a vegetable.

 

They don't survive at all.

A baby born at that stage is left to die for humane reasons in Britain. The invasive and painful treatment given to babies born at a later stage just wouldn't work.
