Temperature inside a sibirian living building is 70F, outside a building may be -(minus) 20F.

There are NO smoke in winter. Look at the photo above... There are NO flue, NO smoke. Russians do not need fuel oil to heat homes. Every russian building has central heating.

Now americans are living inside NEW iron information wall. Your CNN tells lies about russians. You know very few about Russia and you know just bad sides of russian life.

 

This is urban transport for tomsks people. I can live without a car (I have a car). This transport is cheap and ecological (without smoke and CO2 emission).

You know very few about Russia. "libel" means that, CNN (BBC in UK) tells us only about chechen terrorists, "bad" Putin, political prisoner Mikhail Khodorkovsky (Khodorkovsky is criminal thief, not a political prisoner)... Half-truth or NO information at all is the lie...

As for Khordokovsky --- what do you know about this case ?
Only what you have been told by the FSB and the judges and prosecutors who were paid for by the Government .You fail to realise we have every word of his cases ( court transcripts ) and like the rest of the world we are all too aware of the disgrace these cases have brought on your country , thanks to the disgusting ego of your FSB leader --- the organ grinder and not the monkey .
Next you will be telling us that Politkovskaya was a Chechen spy and Magnitsky an American spy .
Do me a favour . Address your childish comments to someone gullible and uninformed .
The embarrassing thing is that well informed outsiders know far more about your own country than the brain washed part of your own FSB controlled community .

 

The specific house is a beautiful specimen of the Russian Wooden architecture. Most probably it dates from the late 19th or the very beginning of the 20th century.

 

OK. I know about civil war in the north Caucasus from my chechen friends.
Look at this...

This is destroyed tank and school in chechen Bamut villadge. I live in Russia, I vizited the north Caucasus and I know about it much better than you know. But this theme is about Tomsk, not about the north Caucasus. From 1991 up to 2000 all Russia was like the north Caucasus.
I know about Khordokovsky too... much better than you know.
if Khordokovsky would do in USA the same things what he did in Russia, he would jailed for all his life.
I am not interesting about Politkovskaya and Magnitsky. Politkovskaya was a journalist. I did not like Politkovskaya. Politkovskaya wrote for you (to get money from you), not for me. Magnitsky was a thief. It is bad that he died and did not end up by a trial.

I live 4500 km away from Moskow. I do not feel FSB in my life. May be Americans do not feel CIA or FBI as I do not feel FSB...

One more reason for me to say that every inch of Siberia is lovely, buildings as well as girls.

If the rich Russians take their vacations in the US/UK/FR, I guess they do it to brag about the travel distance. We American vacationers are the same way. I bet that if I tell people that I went to the Tomsk Health Resort and how far it is from the US, they will rank it higher than US vacation spots and will get interested. (I am a maths student and know nothing about advertizing, but I bet it would work that way.)

 

It is not true. Our rich Russian (oligarchs) do not go there for that reason. There is such a bad quality in a man and called it snobbery. They go to that would, figuratively speaking sparkle, his treasure.

I love what you write .
But it is only in the sense that it gives a rare opportunity to see the babblings of a totally brain washed person .
When the Soviet world fell to pieces there still were sad individuals convinced that Stalin was a hero and that the old days were the best ones .
It is awful to see History repeating itself .

 

Of course, you know everything the right way and your brain is not washed.
