It's the end of an era in Cardinals baseball. Tony La Russa had been manager of the Cardinals since 1996, and has taken them to three World Series ('04, '06, and '11). Everyone in Cardinal Nation knew this day would come, but it still hurts just the same... :(

Lets go to KY and occupy Jim Beam.
Work does get in the way at times, no doubt about it, esp paperwork.
Sorry you've been under the weather Kimi. (((hugs))) coming your way. Now have a hot toddy and get it over with.

Thanks for the hot toddy and hugs...always a good cure.

Well, this being a dive bar and all, I'm guessing the regular domestics, Bud, coors, miller a few imports for those with a taste for home brews and such.

Although my knowledge of military strategy and tactics is limited, I suggest we split up.

I volunteer to occupy the Bacardi distillery in Puerto Rico... :D

Bacardi is on the north side of the island, Diageo - which makes Parrot Bay and Capt. Morgan - is on the south side.

Guess I'll see you there! :)

Congrats on the win, sweetie. If we had to lose, better STL than most of the others. We're already looking forward to next year. ;)

Today was infusion day... and I fully expected to work 4 hrs, then leave and make two different doc appts... and a 2 hr infusion. Came to my senses last night and called in sick. What am I, superwoman??? LOL, everything went fine... and got great news -- I get to change meds in Jan. A new 'miracle drug' I'll only have to take a few times a year... by injection, not infusion.

Since I'm such a blabbermouth, most folks here know, but for anyone who doesn't, I have an auto-immune disorder. An OVER-ACTIVE immune system. Without treatment, I'd be disabled. New bio-gen meds control it... but they're also VERY expensive. Hopefully this new one will be a little less ridiculously priced... and whole lot less intrusive.

Fun is going for an infusion on Halloween... where the nurses are dressed up like vampires. :omg:

Yes, expensive. But I've had help from a private foundation for the last 4 yrs. They've been a blessing. :sun:

Nearly time to open a new bar. I can always tell when the floor gets real sticky. It's no wonder... I just peeled a donut off the heel of my shoe.
