Hubby and I both have been dealing with this "whatever" for several weeks, now. It feels like it's clearing up, then *wham* you feel sick again. Never quite goes away, and keeps getting better then worse again.

    I probably need a Texas fix.......

I've been in too many doctor's offices recently. Absolutely hate sitting in a waiting room with people hacking and coughing all around me. Of course, it's different if I'm the one doing the hacking! :omg:

I do feel sorry for you ladies. I get a flu shot once a year and I never get sick or even get a cold. In fact I don't remember the last time I had a cold. But then Linda says that I have a cast iron stomach and I am a human garbage disposal to.

LOL, I dont get sick very often either, OT. In fact, it's been years since I've had a cold. Hoping this scratchy throat is from the weather changing. One day it's 80, the next 30. Can't blame a body for getting confused!

I had both a flu and pneumonia shot this yet... so whatever it is, shouldn't be anything too serious.

    *achoooooo*

My husband hardly EVER gets sick, either, and whatever this stuff is has been kicking his butt, too.

Amen, g/f. (wait, do you say amen to a toast?)

Whatevah... had myself some wine with Thankgiving dinner, but it was lousy. Now I'm craving a big cup of eggnog with a generous dollop of Jack Daniels. Mmmmm, whiskey.

Wish I could. But last night I broke the rules and had a double scotch. that is it for me for the next year. Actually I'm not supposed to drink anything with the medication that I am on. Blame last night on Smartie and her roaring fire place. I just couldn't resist.

I had a Mia/Pow bracelet years ago. I swore I would never take it off. I had it for years and then lost it down the beach. I looked hard but couldn't find it. I rationalized that he would never be found and lost is lost.
A few years later I thought about that bracelet and looked to see if they still made them. I wanted another one. They did so I got another one. Russell, who was in the air force and lost in 1966 in Laos. I wore it for a long time and finally took it off. I put it in my jewelry box. I open the jewelry box today and felt compelled to put that bracelet back on. Why I dont know but its on and staying on.
God bless every man and woman who ever served this country and their families.
    Thats all

Soon.....the cake was the most amazing thing, too. My favorite cake decorator did the work, and she outdid herself this time.

Yay for cake! I miss cake. :(

So, did anybody try any new foods or traditions for Thanksgiving?

A friend of mine brought a lovely bread pudding that I died for!

Well I tried a new way to cook turkey. I bought a big turkey breast and used my rotisorrie on it. It took two hours and I was basting it with garlic butter, It came out really good. Nice and tender and juicy. Then we also had steamed asperagus for a change of vegetable.
