    I can't remember the name of the town/county, but it shouldn't take too much digging to find out. I'll see what I can do a bit later today.

    The mayor said they were posting 500 jobs per day- they must be listing them somewhere.

    OK....bikes are loaded on the trailer, ready to be hooked up to the truck this afternoon, and we're getting the heck outta dodge for a few days....Galveston or bust!!

    Wow, I wish I was in Galveston. Check out the wood carvings while you are there Don't forget to ride the ferry and see the dophins..:-D. The ferry ride is always the highlight for me.

    We're riding the bikes from Shreveport tomorrow, taking our time and spending a night on the road, then get to Galveston Friday, come home Sunday. We'll be taking the bikes on the ferry to cross over to the island. I don't know much about Galveston, even growing up in Texas. We didn't go the beach...we went to rivers.

    I agree, it is definitely frustrating! I attempt to respond, only to receive "database error". Then later, the reply hardly seems relevant any longer.

    Last night I wrote this really long post, then got the DB error. Tried again in an hr and it was still down. Gave up and went to bed. It's maddening, I tell ya!!!
