I hear that the only place that the cowboys are moving to is last place.

I like Rugby a lot - on the college level.
Ruggers have great parties and the games are really fun to watch.
    Brutal...

I found a pic of an elephant walk but I don't think I should post it, if you know what I mean.

So, there I wuz, all innocently reading about fish, bloody Marys with blueberry muffins 'n such, when I came 'cross Sanna, who showed me da door.

As fer seafood, anything that swims will be jes fine.
Bloody Mary extry spicy, and lemon poopyseed muffins will do.
Favorite team, da 'Boyz of course.
And no, never payed no attention to Rugby. Them are too wild for me, but some fine specimen though.
Any BBQ fer supper? Someone bring some rolls and Jalapenos, Smartie, bring some slaw.

Now, if you don't smell the Mesquite, leave it, you hear?

Since this bar is lacking decorations of sorts, I brought some peppermint  to sprinkle on da brownies, or in da tea or whatnot.

There is a reasonable amount - there is 'blood replacement' system, where a player can be substituted temporarily to be stiched up (other than that substitutions made are for the rest of the game - no taking people on and off all the time). There are some big hits too, obviously, and plenty of impact injuries - alot of modern players have had to have reconstructive shoulder surgery in particular. There's even the occasional punch as people get over enthusiastic! A 'man's game', to be sure!

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8v-qZFVYnc"]Welcome to Rugby (Big Hits, etc.)[/ame]

It's not that hard to get the basics, really. Try to get the ball over the line to score a 'try' for 5 points (like a touchdown, but you do actually have to touch the ball down!), or over the posts for either a 'drop goal' or 'penalty goal' for 3 points (or for the 'conversion' kick after a 'try' for an extra 2 points, so a 'converted try is 7 points). Other than that, the basics are that you can't throw the ball forward at all, you can't tackle or block players off the ball (that's a big difference from football, obviously!), and you have to stay on-side (which pretty much means behind the ball). There are line out and scrum set pieces, and the driving 'hard yards' stuff usually involving the forwards (the bigger, heavier people!), and then the backs traditionally do the quick running (although modern forwards are faster and fitter and better at that kind of thing than they used to be).

It really boils down to someone from the attacking line having to break through the opposite defensive line with the ball in hand, rather than being able to throw it forward (although they can kick it forward, but players chasing it still have to have been behind the kicker when it was kicked), so it's about discipline, organisation, skill, running lines, hitting gaps, knowing when to 'keep it tight' and when to 'take it out wide', and reading the play in defence, a bit like football (although the players on the field have to do all that for themselves during the game - there's no coach talking in their ear).

You do need to get the guy with the ball, because he's the only one you can get, but he can pass it, or go into contact and lay it back for his team to recycle and carry on with the movement - there's none of the 'stop-start' or going a certain distance stuff then stopping stuff, so it's a much more flowing game.

When it's executed well, it's sheer poetry in motion:

I just watched both those videos. I like it! No kidding. Its fast and those guys put on some serious moves. So once they get cranking down the field they pretty much have a great chance of crossing the goal line if the run un a line but pass it backwards. I really like the goals where they kick it and chase it and then cross the goal and touch it. I'd definitely watch it here. I tried to watch soccer but couldn't get into it. This is better. OK I'm gonna find a video of rugby for the rugby challenged.

I heard that moaning from the football fans and rolling your eyes is rude. Come on now this isn't bad. Honest

Try not to get any frosting on you when you pop out of the cake - the Air Scouts wouldn't know what to do with a beautiful woman with frosting on her! :D

The old school USAF - or the Army Air Corps that my father was in - would know what to do.

The new breed - the United States chAir Force... the ones who sit in a command center at some air base and "fly" Predator drones to the target like it's some high-tech video game... I doubt it. :)
